Welcome to Waffle Flower Monthly Challenges!

Fall Favorites!

For September, we challenge you to create a project using your fall favorites.  It could be cards, layouts or any paper crafting projects.

Our design team and guests take turns sharing their takes on the challenge each week and we encourage you to think outside the box! Maybe try something like:
- shaker cards
- fall color themes
- leaves
- use an iconic fall image for 3 or more times on a card.
- Halloween
- Fall drinks
- harvest time

This week's inspiration is brought to you by our design team member Galina and her co-hosts Emily and Tiffany!

Fall is my favorite season with so many sweater weather and pumpkin spice iconic images. For my take on the challenge, I not only used one iconic image at least three times, I used three different icon images from the Home Sweet Home Stamp Stamp (acorns, leaves and a cute & nutty fall critter) three times each (plus three little hearts for extra measure). With a little stamping and masking, I stacked the squirrels on a Mini Slim Panel and colored with Copic Markers. Then I stamped, colored and fussy cut the leaves and acorns/nuts and adhered them to the card with liquid adhesive. To complete the card, I added a mini slim frame and adhered the Fall Themed Card Panel to a deep blue card base.

I absolutely love creating scenes for fall holidays. I knew I wanted to build a fall scene around this adorable mouse and the hay bales. Growing up we would visit Apple Annie's Orchard in Wilcox, Arizona. They have a pumpkin patch, apple orchard, hayrides, and a corn maze. Creating this card brought back fun childhood memories. I chose to use the hay bale image three times to add more height and dimension within my scene.
