Freckled Fawn + Waffle Flower Blog Hop with Lorena Cantó
Hello everyone! Welcome to day 1 of a week long inspiration brought to you by Freckled Fawn and Waffle Flower Crafts! We have simplified the blog hop to two stops - our blog here and the blog of Freckled Fawn. Stop by both of our blogs for inspiration and prizes! We have our very talented design team member: Lorena Cantó here today!
Hi everyone! Welcome to the first day of the Freckled Fawn & Waffle Flower Crafts Blog Hop Week! It's Lorena here and I'll be sharing two projects using stamps and dies from the August Waffle Flower Crafts release combined with some lovely goodies from Freckled Fawn. Let's get started! First, I have a tag and a little tutorial to make a speech bubble from the Santa beard die in Surface - Tag Die - Santa Add on. I love finding alternate uses for dies!

Here's the how-to:

1. Cover a piece of cardstock with Freckled Fawn's Large Polka Dot washi tape and die cut the largest tag from Surface - Tag Die - Starter Kit.
2. Die cut the beard bottom from patterned paper. Use a pencil to trace the rest of the bubble speech shape and trim with scissors.
3. Stamp the sentiment from A Homemade Christmas stamp set on the speech bubble.
Now, just adhere the speech bubble to the tag with foam tape, embellish with the Freckled Fawn Wood Chips Stars & Such and you're good to go!

I also made a Christmas card using A Homemade Christmas stamp set and some yummy white enamel dots from Freckled Fawn. Again, here's proof that Waffle Flower Crafts stamps can be stretched to make lots of different things! Here, I created Christmas peppermint candy using the tiny tree shape in the set.
Each peppermint candy was created stamping the small tree 4 times in red and 4 times in white, in a circular motion. I used pigment ink because the colors show much better on kraft cardstock, specially the white.
Here's a tip for not contaminating your inkpads: stamp all the red trees first. Once you're done, clean the stamp very well before going in with the white ink. You don't want red smudges all over your pristine white ink pad, right? ;)
I finished the card with a sentiment from the same set heat embossed in white. I love how playful those peppermint candies look!

That's it from me! Don't forget to check back tomorrow for more blog hop inspiration by the amazing Suzanne Dahlberg and thank you so much for hopping with us!

I love my flair pieces and enamel dots, but sometimes I love them so much, I hate to actually put them on my cards!
