[Guest] Monkey Christmas Party Card - Debby Hughs
Hi everyone, you are in for a treat! Our friend Debby is here to share a super bright and happy card!
Hello, Debby here with a fun card to share using the Stocking and Willy & Friends sets. Aren't these guys so fun; I love the different expressions on their faces!
To start I stamped out lots of the images from the two sets using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and cut out with their matching dies before playing around with the scene. As I moved pieces about I got a party vibe with the little critters in their Christmas accessories.
What better for a monkey Christmas party than lots and lots of bananas! Having sorted which monkey got which accessory I coloured everything with Copics before foam mounting on a panel blended with Simon Says Stamp Melon, Pale Blush Pink, Lake Shores and Spring Rain inks. I also splattered some Gansai Tambi paint and some Perfect Pearls solution around and then when dry stamped the sentiment from the Stocking set in Versafine Onyx Black ink before adding the panel to a top folding white card base.
Have you got your Christmas party outfit sorted yet? I know as crafters we make an early start on Christmas preparations but I can't believe it is October tomorrow; time to get busy!

Oh my gosh! those little guys are so cute!!! I love the way you arranged them and the colors that you used. Your blending is always so delicious. I was thinking about you this morning. I was finishing up a card, and trying to decide what else to add to it. I was wishing you were here. Then I thought, “wwdhd?” (what would Debbie Hughes do?" Thanks, it helped me to decide. I love your card!
