LindaBarber.WaffleFlower.1AHi there, Linda here! I'm so excited to share my layout with you. This layout is an ode to a cake-like hat I knitted my youngest for his first birthday. As it turned out, it was way too big. But that was a happy accident, because he's been wearing it on each of his birthdays ever since! It's been 11 years, and I'm hoping he'll continue to wear it on his future birthdays. Yes, even on his pre-teen and teen years. I hope... Big time! LindaBarber.WaffleFlower.1D I used some of my favorite stamps, Sketchy Numbers, and lots of colors (alcohol markers). Because I knew it would be colorful, I used kraft cardstock for the background to tone down some of the brightness. It's finished with a little contrasting hand-stitching and one brad. LindaBarber.WaffleFlower.1C The numbers are fussy cut, and popped up for a bit of dimension. I love the look of the black ink + color on kraft!
