Make a Wine Tag with Karolyn Loncon

Hello!! I’m Karolyn Loncon, and am so happy to be a part of Waffle Flower’s 12 Days of Gift Giving extravaganza!! I decided to focus on a project that would show gratitude and appreciation to the host or hostess of your Thanksgiving celebration!!   I think it’s so important to say “thank you” to anyone that opens their home and slaves over a hot stove to provide a lovely meal, don’t you? This is super easy to create! Here are the Waffle Flower products that I used: Flower Circles Die Set Holiday Label 1 Die Holiday Labels – Give Thanks Stamp Set Holiday Labels – Merry Stamp Set   STEP ONE: I gathered some fall themed patterned paper and some white cardstock, adhered each patterned paper to a cardstock panel to give it some substance, and then die cut each panel using the largest die from the Flower Circles Die Set. STEP TWO: I used the woodgrain piece for the outside of the flower, and the leaf piece for the inside. The above photo shows the back of the two pieces, and how I adhered them together. I just tore off small pieces of washi tape and taped them around the circle to join the two pieces. STEP THREE: Using images from both the Holiday Labels – Give Thanks Stamp Set and the Holiday Labels – Merry Stamp Set, I stamped a label for the wine bottle tag onto some yellow cardstock, and then die cut the label using the Holiday Label 1 Die. I found that it was easier to stamp first, and then die cut in order to find the true center of the stamping with the die cut. I used a bit of Post It tape to hold the die in place while cutting. STEP FOUR: I adhered the label to the front of the flower/tag using some foam tape. I cut a piece of yellow polka dot ribbon that I had in my stash, and adhered it to the back of the flower/tag using some tape. I tied a bow for the top (I adhered that with a glue dot). Easy peasy! I think this project shows that you care enough for your hostess that you took the time to hand make something for them, and that you appreciate their hard work and hospitality! Isn't it adorable?
