[WIW Video] Watercolor Smooshing with Sabrina Alery
1·September 23, 2015
Hello Waffle Flower friends! This is Sabrina with my final video for the Watch It Wednesday series. Today I’m playing around with an older favorite stamp set along with a new-to-me technique that’s been seen around lately – most recently by my friend Mary Dawn Quirindongo - watercolor smooshing. What a gorgeous effect it creates!
And when combined with a little chalk ink blending, it’s also such a quick and fun way to create a night sky/galaxy type background. The Starry Night stamp set and this technique were just meant to be!
You can check out the how-to in the video below and then add your stamping and embossing on top when everything is dry.
Watch it below or on our Youtube channel.
Thank you for sharing this awesome technique with us today, Sabrina!

You can also use distress inks or watercolors on a clear block and spray with a mini mister. Then just use your block and stamp it on your watercolor paper….you need to hold it in place for a few seconds before lifting up the block.
This is so fun and awesome!! Thanks for sharing!
