[Guest] Cards for Gift Cards with Amy Yang

Hello everyone!!! I’m so happy to be back guesting for Waffle Flower Crafts. During the holiday season I purchase a lot of gift cards to give to family members and for people I’d like to thank, like teachers. So I wanted to design projects that be can be mass produced to hold my gift cards. For these projects I used the Gift Bag Die, which I think is an awesome die to have around. It’s just so perfect to hold gift cards and other small gifts like jewelry. You can decorate it to fit any occasion and it looks great on top of cards. I also used Faye Stamp Set, Stocking Stamp Set, and the Willy and Friends Stamp Set. If you don’t want to include the monkeys, you can easily make these projects using the gift bag die set and the stocking stamp set. It’ll look just as nice…I’ll probably do that all the male recipients. I started this project by stamping and coloring the images using copic markers. Next, using colored papers, I used the gift bag die set to cut out the pieces I needed. I didn’t want the cards to have too much dimension (for mailing purposes) so I only used one side of the gift bag with one handle and taped it directly onto the front layer of both cards. Then, I stamped sentiment, Merry Christmas. Lastly, I used double sided tape to adhere the monkeys and their accessories to the front of the gift bags. For the next project I made the gift bag using two of the die cuts. I adhered the two pieces together along with the handles using double sided tape. Once again, I decorated the front of the gift bag using my colored images. Since there was no place to stamp or write I made a mini card, the size of the gift bag pocket. I taped the card directly onto the back of the gift bag. This allowed me to stamp a sentiment and write a little message. You can close the card using clear tape. I had so much fun working with these wonderful products. I hope I have inspired you in some way.
