Today is Waffle Flower’s October 2020 Release day! All of the products from this month’s release are waiting for you on the website here!
Don't miss any of the goodness. Check out the October release blog posts:
October is the best of both worlds where we’re enjoying the beauty of fall while the excitement of the coming holidays is building! To celebrate this magical time of year, Waffle Flower is so excited to be releasing 6 new stamp sets, 8 standalone dies, and a new paper release!

For the autumn-lovers out there, we’ve got the beautiful Layered Sunflowers (stamp, die, combo) by a newcomer Susan Bates, a well-known designer in the embroidery and cross stitch community. We’ve also got the charming Pumpkin House (stamp, die, combo) by artist Cassie Loizeaux!
If you’re already diving into the holidays, we’ve got a plethora of fun goodies for the season! There’s the adorable Holiday Cheese (stamp, die, combo) by Big Bear and Bird and versatile Merry Christmas (word die, sentiments, combo) with sentiments and a word die! For backgrounds, we’ve got you covered with the Christmas Tree Panel (die) and Winter Floral Panel (die) by cardmaker JJ Bolton! To round out the holiday goodies is the Big Dots Holiday (stamp) which is a holiday version of the popular Big Dots sentiments.
Speaking of the holidays, this month includes the holiday paper release! Just like our first release in April, this one includes beautiful paper pad options in our innovative format that gives you 72 full A2-sized card fronts per pad! This release includes the holiday patterns: Happy Gnomes (paper), Christmas Stripes (paper), Half-Half Dots - Christmas (paper), and Half-Half Lines - Christmas (paper). We’ve also got a new colorway called Caprice with a modern fall palette: Half-Half Dots - Caprice (paper) and Half-Half Lines - Caprice (paper). If you can't decide buy the Fall + Winter Paper Bundle and get them all!!

This month, we’ve got a bunch of new products that we like to call stash builders! These are the stamps and dies that you turn to again and again because they work so well with all your cards! The new Angled Stripe Panel (die) and Diagonal Stripes (die) by cardmaker JJ Bolton will quickly become favored dies! The Angled Stripe Panel is designed to work with the diagonal stripe papers in the JJ’s Rainbow paper pad and this month’s Christmas Stripe paper pad. The Diagonal Stripe is next in the series of stripes dies and is perfect for full backgrounds or sentiment strips. Other stash builders this month are the Deckled Frames (die), Essential Sentiments (stamp, die, combo), Happy Birthday Word (die), and Stitched Borders (die). Last but not least, there’s the Floss Organizers (die) for our thread artists.
Are you ready to see the release in action? Whether your style is minimalist or fanciful, whimsical or classical, traditional or modern (or all of the above), we hope today’s blog hop will spark your imagination!

Nina's Picks
Hello everyone! Nina here! For today's hop, I want to highlight my personal favorites in this release.
Layered Sunflowers
First one up is the
Layered Sunflowers (stamp, die, combo) based on artwork by cross-stitch designer Susan Bates. We are working on some fun patterns for our Stitchables with her and I had to turn her work into stamps. They are simply gorgeous!
Before I can put my video together (sorry!), you can refer to the layering guide for using this set! The printed guide is included with every stamp set! I actually went over my yellow sunflowers with a pale yellow copic marker for color harmony.
Happy Gnomes Paper Pad
While we have 4 half-half basic patterns for quick cards, I found myself turn to the Happy Gnomes Paper Pad a lot! With the previously released matching die, it was so fun and easy, I couldn't stop with just 1 card...
Again, the beautiful sentiments are from
Essential Sentiments (stamp, die, combo). The fun frames on "Love You" card are from the
Deckled Frames (die).
The fun mushroom house scene is a build-in background paper. I'm decorating the back of my cards too!
Stitched Borders
When you don't have the time to stitch the borders, let the dies do the work! (Wink!)
Each of the borders are available as an independent border die so that you can customize the look.
Back the cutouts up with a piece of contrasting cardstock (white used here) for a more prominent look!
Floss Organizers Die
For our fellow stitchers, we have a Floss Organizers Die that includes a 7-skein floss bobbin and a 10 hole project card die in this release!
Simply use a ring to bind the bobbins/projectcards together!
Videos are coming soon!
More Patterns for Stitchable Holiday Shapes
What is better than cuddling up on a coach and do some stitching while binge watching? I hope you enjoy our Stitchables and here are more patterns for you!
This is actually the busiest time of the year for me because we are planning for 2021 releases but I managed to get 1 sweater with snowflake stitched up! Felt soooooo good!
