Faux Watercolor Look on Vellum
Hello everyone! I was excited about all the new dies and embossing folders from Lifestyle Crafts / We R Memory Keepers. I immediately ordered a few of my favorites using my Studio Team credits.
I played with the Mason Jar Die yesterday and wanted to share what I have discovered while playing: a faux watercolor look on Vellum!
The Mason Jar was screaming to be cut with vellum!
The technique is very simple: use your Copics or any other alcohol markers to color in the embossing window. Use as a template is one of my favorite features of this die! I was putting the colors on very liberally and was happy with the results!
I traced the patterns with a 0.05 Copic multiliner to give them more definition.
It was a nice surprise to find out that the "Be happy, it's a decision." sentiment from our Bowtiful Stamp Set fits nicely in the banners. Remember to bend your clear sentiment stamps if needed.
I die cut the jar cap from some Silver Shape 'N Tape and used it to adhere the jar to the card front.
