[WIW Video] How to Stamp with Gelatos - Patricia

on June 22, 2016
Hello everyone! Patricia here with another Watch It Wednesday Video for you! This project is also inspired by this month's challenge! DesignTeamHeadshots_PATRICIA I gained inspiration from the entire photo inspiration by doing repeated stamping of the mason jars in black ink on my background and then stamping the inside of each one with gelatos. Then I stamped and die cut leaves and flowers to decorate each mason jar and create clusters near my photo. For my title, I used a combination of dies cut cut from foam and stamping. Then I finished the layout with a few more branches and flowers. [WIW Video] Stamping with Gelatos - Patricia SUPPLIES:

[Five for Friday] Love, Actually - Lorena Cantó

on February 12, 2016
DesignTeamHeadshots-LorenaCantoHello there! It's Lorena today with a Valentine edition of our Five for Friday. You may have noticed the title of this post is "stolen" from a film. "Love, actually" is one of my all time favorite titles, and even though many catalogue it as a Christmas movie, what I adore about it is how it depicts so many different kinds of love. So there comes my inspiration for this post: many different kinds of love! I guess a good point for starting is romantic love, and this cute bananas idea made me smile (and reminded me of the whole Willy & Friends series!) WFC Love 1

Other beautiful form of love is love for children, not only our kids, which I know is one of the deepest loves one can feel, but also the love for all children, which represents our love for mankind and our hope in the future WFC love 2

Of course, in a love list I need to include pets! Animal love is perhaps one of the purest forms of love. They love unconditionally, they don’t judge us, and they sure know how to make themselves a place in our hearts. WFC love 3

Another one I want to mention is love for our environment, love for nature and for all the beautiful natural wonders that surround us. Oh, and I chose this image because believe, hugging a tree is an amazing, powerful and recharging experience. Promise! WFC love 4

Last, but not least, is love for others. This quote by the ever charming Audrey Hepburn sums it up beautifully. I’m talking the kind of love that moves us to help other people: compassion. The love that we show towards others in need, the love that makes me believe in mankind. WFC Love 5

And you see, for today I obviously bring you a Love card… love 1 The star of the show is the Papercut Alpha die, which is super easy to line up. The stamped sentiment comes from Tribal Bear stamp set. love 2 I also put to work the cute flowers included in Leafy stamp set and coordinating dies. I used the outline version and colored it with Copic markers and some Wink of Stella clear glitter. There’s also a solid version of this flower in the set, that allows making an even quicker card. love 3 And there you go! Much love to you all, I hope you have a fantastic Valentine Day this Sunday! - Lorena

Five for Friday - What's Up, Fall?

on August 28, 2015
DesignTeamHeadshots-LorenaCantoHello everyone! Lorena here, happy to be back! For those of you in the Northern Hemisphere, Summer is coming to an end, and signals of Fall slowly start popping all around. I know Fall is the favorite season for many people and I can’t help but wonder… what’s up with Autumn that makes it so special? Let’s take a walk through some of the perks of the season…   Maybe it’s that we get to wear cute and cozy sweaters? Fall 1

Here’s a little bonus pic that made me chuckle…   Fall 2

Ok, back to the many great things of Fall… perhaps it’s because who doesn’t love all things pumpkin? Fall 3

Not to mention, it’s the season when we get to be thankful… Fall 4

There’s even time for all things scary and spooky (this one made me chuckle, again). Fall 5

But probably, my favorite thing of Fall are the absolutely amazing colors in mother nature, the trees dressed in majestic tones of orange, yellow and red. Fall 6

With all this Fall-ish inspiration, I decided to make a “Falling for you” card. Leafy stamp set may be perfect to stamp all things tropical, but it sure works for an autumnal theme, too! The Papercut alphabet die worked as a charm for a bold custom sentiment and that tiny “for you” comes from Flutter stamp set. Fall card 1 I made a leafy background stamping the solid leaves in Versamark and then heat embossing with clear powder. The letters were layered on a vellum strip so they wouldn’t get lost under the leaves ;) Fall card 2What about you? Are you happy that Fall is almost here? Thanks for visiting and have a great weekend! --- Lorena Thank you for sharing your awesomeness with us, Lorena! Find time to create and make something today!
