To usher this new challenge in and to give you all some inspiration we have our September challenge winner, Eva, sharing a beautiful card she created featuring the Succulents Stamp Set! Take away Eva! ;)

Hello everyone! I am Eva. I am absolutely excited and thankful to be a guest designer for Waffle Flower Crafts this month. Thank you very much to the whole Waffle Flower team for giving me this opportunity. I have made a card, inspired by the November Challenge photo/color combo. wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-7-jpeg First I die cut some words using the Awesome word die, and glued them on a piece of white cardstock to create my background panel. I love this die!!!Then I stamped some flowers from the Succulents stamp set, using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder and colored them with Distress ink. The flowers were adhered to the panel, with 3d foam to add dimension and applied perfect pearl.  wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-2-jpeg I cut my panel diagonally. At the bottom of the card I added an Awesome word die cut out of violet cardstock and foam. To finish my card, I inked the edges with grey Distress ink, added a ribbon and some sequins. I hope you like it! wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-3-jpeg wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-4-jpeg wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-5-jpeg Inside the card I stamped a flower and then used the Welcome spring stamp set to add some stripes and the partial sentiment YOU'RE, from the Succulent stamp set. wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-6-jpeg I hope you enjoyed and found some inspiration. Have a wonderful day! Eva   Supplies: Awesome Word Die Succulents Stamp Set Welcome Spring Stamp Set

[Guest] Awesome Friend Card by Stephanie Klauck

on May 06, 2016
Hi everyone it's Stephanie here with another card to share! For today's card I used the Lacy Flower stamp set to create an embossed resist flower on my card. I stamped the large lacy flower onto a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and heat embossed it with white embossing powder. Once it was embossed, I used an ink blending tool and distress inks to add colour to the entire background. When I had all of the inking complete, I spritzed water on the entire panel and dabbed off the excess with paper towels to create a distressed look. Awesome I trimmed down the stamped and inked panel slightly smaller than the card base in width and then cut a diagonal edge on the bottom. I adhered the panel to the card base and added a strip of gold glitter cardstock to the bottom. To create the sentiment, I diecut the Awesome word die from the same gold glitter cardstock that I used for the strip and I also cut it from black cardstock. I adhered the two together with the gold one on top to create a shadow effect. AwesomeClose I stamped and white heat embossed the word friend onto a black piece of cardstock, trimmed it into a strip and adhered the Awesome word on top. I adhered the whole sentiment over the embossed flower and added some clear glitter to the flower with a clear glitter marker. I completed the card by adding some clear sequins with gold stickles in the center to match the gold glitter strip and word. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I'll be back later this month with one more card to share as a guest on the Waffle Flower blog.

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Shelly, Laura Jane along with our guest spot winner Amina are here to share their takes on this month's Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our challenge too! wfc-201604-photo Marcie Sharp Products: Magical Stamp Set Lacy Flowers Die Celebrate Word Die Lacy Flower Mats Die WFC 4-11 Marcie Sharp What Marcie Says: I used the colours in the inspiration picture and channelled all the springtime vibes I could to create a pretty floral focal piece for my card. The Lacy Flower Mats Die and Lacy Flowers Die made this SO easy to do. Repeatedly stamping the thin lines from the Magical set and adding few ink splatters in a tone on tone look make a plain yellow card base a little more interesting. Finally, a bold pink sentiment draws your eye right where it needs to go and sequins give it a bit of bling. :) Daria Grushina Products: Leafy Stamp Set WFC 4-11 Daria Grushina What Daria Says: I was inspired by the gorgeous bouquet from the inspiration photo and decided to make my own... Unfortunately I do not have any umbrella die (that would look cool too)... So I just took a piece of craft cardstock to make the packaging and then colored and fussy cut lots and lots of flowers from Leafy Stamp set... Using coordinating dies would be so much faster... but they are still on my shopping list (wink) Shona Chambers Products: Awesome Word Die Congrats Stamp Set Willy Stamp Set Welcome Spring Stamp Set WFC 4-11 Shona Chambers What Shona Says: Using the tulip image as the focal point, I stamped the images in black on the card front and coloured with pencils. The word die was die-cut 3x, glued together and adhered to the card along with the rest of the sentiment. Thank you for sharing such beautiful creations with us, Ladies! We're lucky to have you! Find time to create and make something today!

[Five for Friday] Pantone Colors of the Year - Katie Gehring

DesignTeamHeadshots-KatieGehringHello friends, Katie here. When Pantone Institute announced the two colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, I was surprised. After years of Tangerine, Emerald, Merlot, and even Radiant Orchid, Rose Quartz and Serenity seemed like a bit of a departure. Here’s how Pantone explained their dual choice.   pantone-color-of-the-year-lee-eiseman-quote source At first, the colors made me think of the 1980’s Miami Vice or even Hello Kitty’s Little Twin Stars. In the first few months of 2016, I have seen these colors pop up more and more from fashion to home decor and it’s truly a color combination that is:

I tried the Serenity and Rose Quartz color combination out for myself on card using the Feather More and In Every Way stamp sets along with the Awesome word die and the Lacy Layers die. Stop by my blog for more details. Gehring- WFC- Pantone Feathers
