Ong York Tee

Using Rock My World Die Set, Good Stuff Die Set, Calendar Stamp Set, Winter Blend Inkpad
What York Tee Says: I created two of my very own one-of-a-kind stencils using Rock My World Die Set and Good Stuff Die Set. I die cut the rocks all over a 41/2"x 6" cardstock randomly and I called it Rock Tee's World. I used the Rock Tee's World stencil, a few shades of purple inks and color shine mist to create the patterned rock background for my birthday card. Then, I used the stencil created by using Good Stuff Die Set to add a little touch for my calendar. WFC- 1-18-York Tee

Isha Gupta

Using Doily Square Die, In Every Way Stamp Set, Congrats Stamp Set
What Isha Says: I used the die to make my stencil and then sponged to create an almost one layer card :) WFC-1-18-Isha Gupta

Tessa Wise

Using Tribal Pattern Die, Amazing Word Die, Tribal Bear Stamp Set
What Tessa Says: I created a stencil by cutting the Tribal Pattern Die out of acetate. Using washi tape to hold it in place, I blended ink from the Hero Arts Grape Purple Ombre ink pad over the stencil and on to the cardstock below. The stenciling left a soft pattern of the intricate design on my card. WFC-1-18-Tessa Wise

Five Halloween Cards for Friday

on September 12, 2014
Hello everyone! It's Friday again! I had a great vacation earlier this month but it sure feels good to be back in the craft room! I missed every inch of it! For this Five for Friday, we have five halloween cards using non-halloween themed products for your inspiration!

Five Halloween Cards for Friday

First one up is this Pumpkin Love Card by Terri Burson at Waving My Wand blog. Terri shared the link on our Facebook Page back in early July and I have had my thinking cap on ever since! Thank you for the inspiration, Terri! Second one is this Hey, Boo Card by our very own Suzanne Dahlberg. Yes, yes, we have a very talented team! We are grateful every single day! Both Suzanne and Terri used Flower Circles Stamp Set which happens to be one of our best sellers. Hopefully that you already have it in your stash to try something similar yourself? So, inspired by these two lovely ladies, I've made the third, fourth and fifth cards for today! wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang Inspired by Terri, I used the poppy stamp from Flower Circles Stamp Set as a pumpkin on this card. The sentiment was spelled with our Be My Guest alphabet stamp Set. wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-3 I used the washi tape as a quick mask,  so I can make the poppy look like a pumpkin sitting on the ground. The bird sitting on the pumpkin is a sneak peek to a new stamp set we are going to introduce early next month! It is not a Halloween set but should be super fun to play with! Stay tuned~~ wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-step-4 Inspired by Suzanne, using the flower center from Flower Circles Stamp Set as a spider, I made this card: wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-2 The inverted scallop frame was cut with our Surface - Tag Die - Scallop Add-on. I also used the small jar image from our Riverside Stamp Set to replace the "O" in "Halloween". wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-step-3 I thought I should come up with something new myself: wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-1 I used Rock My World Die Set to cut the bases for the ghosts and then cut the bottoms with a zigzag scissor. wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-step-1 Aren't they the cutest? *Giggle* wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-step-2 I shared them on Instagram last night, and mommyeyedr suggests that they would make cute potato heads too! Or as what snoppybug suggests, use the "ghost" version as Pac-man! Hmm... Wheels turning~~~ Here is a round-up of the products I used on today's cards: Thank you so much for taking a peek! Hope that you are inspired to make some halloween cards using non-halloween themed products! Happy Weekend!

Ain't No Mountain High Enough & 7 Winners

on August 05, 2014
Hello everyone! Welcome back to the blog! I hope that you have enjoyed the introduction to the new release? Over the next few weeks, you are going to find more inspiration from our design team as well as some talented crafters we've invited to guest blog for us. This is only our third release but we hope that it is our best so far? We hope we are improving, little by little, with each of our releases. Thank you so much for being so kind and supportive! All products are now available in our store. Waffle-Flower-August-Release I have another card to share today. One of the reasons that we are having an alphabet set before many other basic sets is that the team and I all have a lot of sentiments we want to put down on our projects. Before we can get them all into stamps, an alphabet set will do. wfc-aint-no-mountain-high-enough I usually start my card with a sentiment I like but on this card, I created the mountain focal first and the sentiment just came to me. This card can be used for many different occasions: love, friendship, encouragement or just sending positive vibes to someone. Enough said? :) Let's get to our winners!

Challenge Winners

Thank all of you who have participated in our challenge! We love your projects and hope to see more! Thank you so much for joining us! We really appreciate the time and effort each and every one of you has put in your challenge entries! Let's make stuff and get better and better together!

The Winner of the Sketch Category is:

[caption id="attachment_11920" align="aligncenter" width="320"]wfc-sketch-winner Shelly K[/caption] Besides the awesome take on the sketch, we also love that Shelly created a pattern using a sentiment from our Bowtiful Stamp Set. Impeccable stamping!

The Winner of the Technique Category is:

[caption id="attachment_11921" align="aligncenter" width="265"]To Grandama with Love Sabrina Alery[/caption] This card was an accident. As Sabrina descries it, she was "half asleep" while stamping it. Well, I think I need to fall half asleep too! Haha! We love the random floating-flower background as well as the color combo! Did you notice that this is also a loose take on the sketch?! Congratulations Shelly and Sabrina! Please email us a stamp set of your choice. If you opt in to join the challenge team on August 15 and September 15 , please let us know and we will send you the details for our next challenge! Thank you!

[Tutorial] You Make Me Dream Card

on July 29, 2014
Hello everyone! I'm very excited to share today's card. I think I outdid myself! I can finally put these products away for a while, knowing that I've done my best. We are going to showcase our next release in a couple of days! It will be another whole round of fun! Can't wait to share with you! wfc-you-make-me-dream-card wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-closeup I was cleaning my craft table and found a piece of green paper that was left from a card I made earlier (another one of my favorites, click here to see it). And my Rock My World Die Set and Surface- Tag Die - Scallop Add-on were still left on the table from the last project. So I combined them again! wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-1 I love the funky shapes the rock dies created. wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-2 You could create a similar flower with an oval die but it wouldn't have so much character to it. wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-3 The petals were created from the leftover scallop frames: wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-4 I colored and doodled on one of them. wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-5 Then I played around with the stamps position. Stems are from Flower Circles Stamp Set. The sentiment is from a new stamp set that will be introduced on August 3. wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-6 What do you call this part of a flower? wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-7 Foam adhesives to add some dimension to the flowers. wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-8 Wink of Stella pen to add some shine to the petals. wfc-you-make-me-dream-card-step-9 Fun, right? Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting! See you on Friday August 1!

Five for Friday and a Cake Card Tutorial

on July 25, 2014
Hello, everyone! It is Friday again!

Five for Friday

I'm sharing some cake inspiration today! [caption id="attachment_11785" align="aligncenter" width="192"]bow-mini-cake Source[/caption] [caption id="attachment_11788" align="aligncenter" width="400"]Hearts on Cake Source[/caption]   [caption id="attachment_11787" align="aligncenter" width="400"]White Cake with Pink Flower Source[/caption] [caption id="attachment_11786" align="aligncenter" width="400"]Pink Cherry Blossom Cake Source[/caption] [caption id="attachment_11790" align="aligncenter" width="400"]Ruffled Cake Source[/caption] They look so good! Here is a card I was inspired to make!

A Cake Card Tutorial

The sentiment is a sneak peek to a new stamp set we are going to introduce in August. wfc-nina-yang-3d-cake-with-scallop-add-on-cardThe cake was made from our Surface - Tag Die - Scallop Add-on. Diecut the rectangle label twice from pink paper and the scallop frame once from white paper. wfc-nina-yang-3d-cake-with-scallop-add-on-step-1 Layer the scallops on top of the labels to make the cake layers: wfc-nina-yang-3d-cake-with-scallop-add-on-step-2 Adhere the layers together and trim off the extra. wfc-nina-yang-3d-cake-with-scallop-add-on-step-3 The flower is made from our Rock My World Stamp Set and Die Set. Stamp the flowers on pink paper and die cut. wfc-nina-yang-3d-flower-stamp-and-diecutUse a stylus and a mousepad to shape the flowers into little cups. wfc-nina-yang-3d-flower-shaping Adhere the two flowers together with foam adhesive and you will get a great dimensional embellishment for your cake! wfc-nina-yang-3d-cake-with-scallop-add-on-closeup That's all for today! Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Proud to Be American Card + New Rock My World Die Set

on July 04, 2014
Hello everyone! Happy 4th of July to those of us live in the US! I am proud and I am grateful for all the opportunities this land provides me. nina-yang-proud-to-be-american-card This is a simple card using our Surface– Tag Die – Starter Kit as a base for the focal.  My coloring is not perfect but it didn't stop me from having fun with this card. The lion is an old stamp from Penny Black. I diecut an US flag with our Bowtiful Die Set to make the lion even fancier :) nina-yang-proud-to-be-american-card-closeup
