[WIW Video] How to Stamp with Gelatos - Patricia

on June 22, 2016
Hello everyone! Patricia here with another Watch It Wednesday Video for you! This project is also inspired by this month's challenge! DesignTeamHeadshots_PATRICIA I gained inspiration from the entire photo inspiration by doing repeated stamping of the mason jars in black ink on my background and then stamping the inside of each one with gelatos. Then I stamped and die cut leaves and flowers to decorate each mason jar and create clusters near my photo. For my title, I used a combination of dies cut cut from foam and stamping. Then I finished the layout with a few more branches and flowers. [WIW Video] Stamping with Gelatos - Patricia SUPPLIES:

Inspiration from the Challenge Team – December 7

on December 07, 2015
Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Annette, Shelly, and Laura Jane are here to share their takes on the December Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our challenge too! wfc201512 Our previous challenge winner: Anika Lerche is also sharing with us today! WFC-12-7 Guest Anika Anika says: For the background I stamped the sentiments in white pigment ink. I let it dry overnight. Then I stamped the dogs in dye ink over the white ink. For the main image I stamped the dog, added some dimension with Prismacolors and some details with a black gel pen. Using On My Mark Stamp Set, On My Mark Die, Monochrome Stamp Set WFC-12-7-Anika Lerche How cool is the hand stamped sentiment background on Anika's card? We also love that crisp black speech bubble for the sentiment! Thanks Anika for including the detailed shot! WFC-12-7-Anika Lerche2

Annette Allen

Using Stocking Stamp Set, Stocking Die, DT Mix Stamp Set, Flower Circles Die Annette says: I first stamped all the images on a scrap piece of paper. Using the Stamp Layering technique I stamped the stocking pattern from Stocking stamp set. Next I stamped over the heart from DT Mix this fun sentiment also from the Stocking stamp set. I LOVE this sketch so I added that into the mix also created a fun watercolor background just to give it a little more color. WFC-12-7-Annette Allen We are totally in love with this wonderful free-style collage look: the teal heart, the little dotted circle and the watercolored background! We also love that Annette stamped the long sentiment form Stocking stamp set on two lines to fit in the heart! Perfect!

Shelly Kurth

Using Surface Tag Stamp Set, Starry Night Stamp SetBe My Guest Stamp Set Shelly says: For my stamp layering I decided to overlap all my smaller stars in different shades of blue. WFC-12-7-Shelly Kurth Shelly, you've done it again! We are amazed at how you take all the inspiration and make it into something so simple yet so unique and fun! We love how you layered the star stamps!

Laura Jane

Using Stocking Stamp Set, Doily Circle Stamp Set Laura Jane says: I used the many different images from the STOCKING stamp set to create a layered "one of a kind" stocking:) Just a bit of masking magic allowed for flawless ink color changes. The Doily Circle stamp set added an extra layer of goodness to my card base. WFC-12-7-Laura Jane We love that Laura Jane leaves the images uncolored - the "hand-drawn" look adds so much to a Christmas card. Did you see that doily flower stamp peeking from the top right corner? So fun! ___ Aren't these cards fantastic? For more details, please click on the designer's name/link! A Project Life Spread From Start to Finish with Patricia Roebuck

on September 19, 2014
Hello everyone! While we're busy preparing for our October release, our friend Patricia is taking over the blog today!
Patricia Roebuck is one of those crafters who are super talented, yet so sweet, so humble and so kind. We got to know each other through a design team a couple years ago and finally met at CHA earlier this year! We happened to have some friends in common and got to chat in real life! I am a card maker but I adore all my scrapbooker friends! I guess our passion and love for life is the bond?

A Project Life Spread - From Star to Finish

Hello!  I am so thrilled to be here.  I hope to do Nina’s stamps and dies justice.  They are such a great quality and so many different options with just one set.  I used Be My Guest stamp setBowtiful stamp setStarry Night stamp setTiny Circle Die, and Tiny Star Die for my Project Life spread.
Because I wanted to incorporated a lot of stamping, after I picked out my photos, I chose pattern papers that complimented my photos and that would work great with the stamps.
For my title or week card, I used the Tiny Circle DieTiny Star Die, and Be My Guest stamp set.
I added stamping on several of the cards and/or photos.  I love how the “HELLO” from the Bowtiful stamp set fit perfectly on a label to layer with my journaling.  And the Starry Night stamp set worked so well with this photo and pattern paper.
Using Starry Night stamp set, I stamped directly on my photo with a black permanent ink, added soft texture with the stars onto this die cut, and added more layers over this pattern paper.
The stamps and dies worked so well with my Project Life spread.  They added texture, color, and sentiments.
Pure Awesomeness, right? Thank you, Patricia, for sharing your talent with us! If you haven't already, you can find a card and a personalized notepad Patricia shared on her blog using our products here!

Simple Gift Wrapping with We R Memory Keepers

on September 17, 2014
Hello everyone! I brought back some small gifts from my recent trip to send to friends. So my project for We R Memory Keepers Lifestyle Studio this month, I'm sharing a simple wrapping of the gift to my friend Cathy. simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk I have been accumulating the cute embellishments from We R Memory Keepers for a while! Such as the green chevron washi tape shown in the photo below (I ended up not using it... hmmm... I need more colors!) You can find out more about their fabulous 2014 Summer Release on their video page here! Good stuff's coming! simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk-supplies I first die cut a tag (from Tag It Kit) and embossed it with the Bloom embossing folder. simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk-step-1 I just love the "reveal" of an embossed piece! Amazing details, right? All embossing folders are actually 20% off at the official We R website this week! simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk-step-2 I cut the embossed tag in two pieces and used the top portion on my tag: simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk-step-3 By adhering the embossed tag using foam adhesive, I was able to wrap the twine around the bottom without them sticking out. simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk-step-4 I found a piece of WRMK silver metallic cardstock that will go well with my tag to wrap my gift in. simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk-step-5 At last, I stamped Cathy's name in silver metallic ink to go with the wrap. Alphabet set used is Be My Guest Stamp Set. simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk-step-6 And here we have it, a simple gift wrapped with love. simple-gift-wrapping-with-wrmk-closeup If you are interested in purchasing some of the products I used here, WRMK has offered a special 20% off coupon for my blog reader to use at their official online store: shopwer.com. Five Halloween Cards for Friday

on September 12, 2014
Hello everyone! It's Friday again! I had a great vacation earlier this month but it sure feels good to be back in the craft room! I missed every inch of it! For this Five for Friday, we have five halloween cards using non-halloween themed products for your inspiration!

Five Halloween Cards for Friday

First one up is this Pumpkin Love Card by Terri Burson at Waving My Wand blog. Terri shared the link on our Facebook Page back in early July and I have had my thinking cap on ever since! Thank you for the inspiration, Terri! Second one is this Hey, Boo Card by our very own Suzanne Dahlberg. Yes, yes, we have a very talented team! We are grateful every single day! Both Suzanne and Terri used Flower Circles Stamp Set which happens to be one of our best sellers. Hopefully that you already have it in your stash to try something similar yourself? So, inspired by these two lovely ladies, I've made the third, fourth and fifth cards for today! wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang Inspired by Terri, I used the poppy stamp from Flower Circles Stamp Set as a pumpkin on this card. The sentiment was spelled with our Be My Guest alphabet stamp Set. wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-3 I used the washi tape as a quick mask,  so I can make the poppy look like a pumpkin sitting on the ground. The bird sitting on the pumpkin is a sneak peek to a new stamp set we are going to introduce early next month! It is not a Halloween set but should be super fun to play with! Stay tuned~~ wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-step-4 Inspired by Suzanne, using the flower center from Flower Circles Stamp Set as a spider, I made this card: wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-2 The inverted scallop frame was cut with our Surface - Tag Die - Scallop Add-on. I also used the small jar image from our Riverside Stamp Set to replace the "O" in "Halloween". wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-step-3 I thought I should come up with something new myself: wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-1 I used Rock My World Die Set to cut the bases for the ghosts and then cut the bottoms with a zigzag scissor. wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-step-1 Aren't they the cutest? *Giggle* wfc-halloween-cards-trio-by-nina-yang-step-2 I shared them on Instagram last night, and mommyeyedr suggests that they would make cute potato heads too! Or as what snoppybug suggests, use the "ghost" version as Pac-man! Hmm... Wheels turning~~~ Here is a round-up of the products I used on today's cards: Thank you so much for taking a peek! Hope that you are inspired to make some halloween cards using non-halloween themed products! Happy Weekend!

Freckled Fawn + Waffle Flower Blog Hop with Kim Kesti

on September 03, 2014
Waffle-Flower-Freckled-Fawn-Blog-Hop Hello everyone! Welcome to day 3 of a week long inspiration brought to you by Freckled Fawn and Waffle Flower Crafts! We have simplified the blog hop to two stops - our blog here and the blog of Freckled Fawn. Stop by both of our blogs for inspiration and prizes! We have our very talented design team member: Kim Kesti here today! DesignTeamHeadshots-KimKestiHello, friends! Kim Kesti here sharing a pocket page layout I have created with some amazing Freckled Fawn products and, of course, Waffle Flower cuteness. FF Hop_Kesti I basically created four of my own journaling cards using a combination of Freckled Fawn and Waffle Flower. The top card has a simple title created with the Be My Guest stamp set (I love that tiny “family” word) embellished with some Freckled Fawn washi tape. The second card again uses the washi tape along with a stamp die combo (this is the Surface Tag set). The next card is stamped with stars from that same Surface Tag stamp set, then I’ve added the wood frame from Freckled Fawn on top of the pocket protector; fun technique! FF Hop_Kesti2 Sneak There is a closer view. The last card is stamped with the Starry Night stamp set and dressed up with the Freckled Fawn arrow clips. So much fun! Thanks for taking a peek!

Sample Projects

You've seen the party hats made from the Christmas tree stamp in this release. I used it in a slightly different way on today's project. I first folded the cardstock in half and then stamped the tree a little off the folded edge: wfc-folded-party-hat-place-holder-stamping Cut out to make cute little place holders: wfc-party-hats-place-holder-cards We've pushed the limit of how thin a line can be for photopolymer stamps. wfc-tear-it-open-tag

label and tag hole reinforcer from Surface - Tag Die - Scallop Add-on

Here are some tips on how to stamp them crisp and clean: 1. No need to push hard. 2. Stamp on a hard, smooth surface. I used a acrylic block underneath my paper. wfc-tear-it-open-tag-stamping I shared the in-progress photo of the donuts I made using Tag Hole Reinforcer Die a while back... wfc-tag-hole-reinforcer-donuts And here is the finished card! wfc-donut-you-know-card Donut You Know how much fun I've had with this alphabet set? :)
