I used both regular and reverse masking techniques on this card. I die cut several feathers in varied styles and sizes to use as masks.  I also used the negative diecuts for reverse masking. I stamped some feathers and blended over them on white paper with inks using sponge dauber.

Isha Gupta

I used liquid masking fluid to mask the chain before stamping the pine leaves. I masked the stocking using post it before I stamped the gifts.

Tessa Wise

I was inspired by the colors in the inspiration photo! I masked a circle cutout on my kraft colored cardbase and added some rose colored ink to the center to create an ombre look. I stamped the leaf over the top in the same color ink.

Day-12-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Joni Hello everyone! Welcome to Day 12 of our Twelve Days of Gift Giving event! How time flies when you are having fun, right? Today we have our design team member Joni Andaya here! We love that Joni kept it to the basics: stamps and dies - for her project today!

Embossing a Gift Bag with Joni Andaya

Hello Everyone, welcome back to the 12th day of Gift Giving here at Waffle Flower Crafts. My project today is very simple to make: embossing a paper bag that I purchased from my local crafts store. I used Waffle Flower Crafts stamps and dies to make this project special. gift-wrap-with-joni-andaya-1-photoI first stamped the paper bag with Versamark ink to prep for the white embossing powder using the Tribal Thank You Stamp Set (tree). This will also look gorgeous with colored embossing powder. gift-wrap-with-joni-andaya-2 Next, I poured the white embossing powder on the bag, then heat it with a heat gun. gift-wrap-with-joni-andaya-3 Then I created a tag to go with my gift bag using Flower Circle Die Set. I die-cut the flower die twice, one for the background for my tag and 2nd to create a window for my tag. I used pencil mark on the background as a guide to help me where to stamped the sentiment “a gift for you” from stamp set A Homemade Christmas. I then distressed both circles, window and background. gift-wrap-with-joni-andaya-4 Next, I added some leaves on the tag from the Holiday Labels - Give Thanks stamp set and die-cut using the Holiday Label 1 Die. Then I added a hole on top of the tag using the tiny hole reinforce from Surface Tag Die Started Kit. gift-wrap-with-joni-andaya-5 To finish off the tag I added some gold sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and natural twine from May Arts. gift-wrap-with-joni-andaya-6 Here’s the full view of the gift bag. gift-wrap-with-joni-andaya-7 Thank you so much for stopping by! Day-10-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Yainea Hello everyone! Welcome to Day 10 of Waffle Flower Crafts Twelve Days of Gift Giving event! We have the crafty Karolyn Loncon @ Paper Therapy  joining us today! We love that Karolyn's gift wrap is generic. You can use one for a hostess' gift at all occasions! Karolyn is such a loving, caring person that it just shows through her projects!

Make a Wine Tag with Karolyn Loncon

Hello!! I’m Karolyn Loncon, and am so happy to be a part of Waffle Flower’s 12 Days of Gift Giving extravaganza!! I decided to focus on a project that would show gratitude and appreciation to the host or hostess of your Thanksgiving celebration!! Waffle Flower 11-10-14 Thanksgiving Wine Bottle Tag Close Up   I think it’s so important to say “thank you” to anyone that opens their home and slaves over a hot stove to provide a lovely meal, don’t you? This is super easy to create! Here are the Waffle Flower products that I used: Flower Circles Die Set Holiday Label 1 Die Holiday Labels – Give Thanks Stamp Set Holiday Labels – Merry Stamp Set   STEP ONE: I gathered some fall themed patterned paper and some white cardstock, adhered each patterned paper to a cardstock panel to give it some substance, and then die cut each panel using the largest die from the Flower Circles Die Set. Waffle Flower 11-10-14 Step 1 STEP TWO: I used the woodgrain piece for the outside of the flower, and the leaf piece for the inside. The above photo shows the back of the two pieces, and how I adhered them together. I just tore off small pieces of washi tape and taped them around the circle to join the two pieces. Waffle Flower 11-10-14 Step 3 STEP THREE: Using images from both the Holiday Labels – Give Thanks Stamp Set and the Holiday Labels – Merry Stamp Set, I stamped a label for the wine bottle tag onto some yellow cardstock, and then die cut the label using the Holiday Label 1 Die. I found that it was easier to stamp first, and then die cut in order to find the true center of the stamping with the die cut. I used a bit of Post It tape to hold the die in place while cutting. Waffle Flower 11-10-14 Step 4 STEP FOUR: I adhered the label to the front of the flower/tag using some foam tape. I cut a piece of yellow polka dot ribbon that I had in my stash, and adhered it to the back of the flower/tag using some tape. I tied a bow for the top (I adhered that with a glue dot). Easy peasy! Waffle Flower 11-10-14 Step 5 I think this project shows that you care enough for your hostess that you took the time to hand make something for them, and that you appreciate their hard work and hospitality! Waffle Flower 11-10-14 Thanksgiving Wine Bottle Tag Isn't it adorable? What a thoughtful gift wrap! Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Karolyn!

Hello everyone! Welcome to Day 4 of Waffle Flower Crafts Twelve Days of Gift Giving! Today we have the super talented Elena Roussakis from Just ME Prints to share a handmade gift with us!

Make Santa Bookmarks with Elena Roussakis

Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena-Roussakis I made a trio of santa bookmarks, one for each of my children. I thought it would be a fun gift, especially if I paired it with a book for each of them at Christmastime.  I'm including a photo tutorial to help you see that you can make these too! step 1: you will need the following dies for this project. Surface – Tag Die – Starter Kit Surface – Tag Die – Santa Add-on-01 310013 Holiday Label 1 Die step 2: create a longer tag by running a 2" wide strip of red cardstock through the Big Shot as indicated. Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena 2 step 3: create Santa's mustache by cutting into an already-cut frame shape. Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena 3 step 4: trim the mustache, as we do not want Santa to sport a handlebar. Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena 4 step 5: cut off the ends - they will now be used as noses. Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena 5 step 6: these are all of the pieces cut (including the little speech bubble turned mouth that I omitted to show you before now.) Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena 6 step 7: add color: I used an E02 copic for the nose, and adhered it together with the mustache and mouth. then, I used E00 and R20 copic markers to add color to the face and blushy cheeks. once you have done this, adhere everything together. Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena 7 optional: add a pom pom to the top. Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena 8 Day-4-of-12-Days-of-Gift-Giving-with-Elena 9 I hope you like what I created! I had so much fun using these Waffle Flower dies! _______________________________________________________________ Aren't they just fun? Thanks Elena for sharing your talent with us!

Make Easy Gift Boxes and Tags with Kim Kesti

Kesti_WF_Gift Wrap Hello everyone! Kim Kesti here! Super excited to be part of Waffle Flower Crafts Twelve Days of Gift Giving event. Christmas is one of the rare times that I really think and plan ahead for my gifts AND my gift wrap. In fact, I quite often will buy the majority of my wrapping paper and tissue during the After Holiday sales. Hey, you can’t beat 50-75% off! I also choose a “theme” each year for my gift wrap. I don’t stress about matching everything, but I love coordinated packages under the tree. This year, I am going with a navy blue and silver theme. I also love anything with feathers lately, so I am determined to use the adorable Waffle Flower Crafts Feather More Stamp Set on a lot of my Christmas projects! For my first project, I used the Feather More Stamp set to create my own patterned paper. I stamped feathers from the set all over a basic piece of white cardstock, then I added the little confetti dots from the Holiday Labels – Merry Stamp Set. Can you spot them in the bottom corner of the set? I love little “extras” like this on my sets. The dots really add depth to my patterned paper. Kesti_WF_Gift Wrap2 To create the tag for this little box I stamped the round label from the Holiday Labels - Merry Stamp Set using Silver Delicata ink. While the ink was still wet, I sprinkled extra fine glitter on the stamped image. Kesti_WF_Gift Wrap3 When the image was dry, I die cut it and layered it with a blue cardstock circle. I love how simple and easy this is! I plan to recreate this tag many times for my different packages. (Love that is has space to add my own greeting, too!) Kesti_WF_Gift Wrap4 I used the handy We R Memory Keepers Gift Box Punch Board to create my boxes. This punch board is super easy to use, just follow the sizes printed right on the board to make your own adorable boxes. Love how this feather paper turned out! Another tip: try using inexpensive library rings to attach your tags! Cute! Kesti_WF_Gift Wrap5 My second box was also created using the Gift Box Punch Board. This time, I punched glitter paper from Teresa Collins and added some feathers for accents. I stamped and glittered the feathers using the same technique as my first tag. Then, I stamped my cute sentiment and die cut it using the Holiday Labels - Merry Stamp Set and coordinating die: Holiday Label 1 Die. For the outer circle, I used the adorable pierced circle from the Flower Circles Die Set. Thanks for taking a peek at my gift boxes and tags. I’m very inspired by the whole design team and can’t wait to see what else will be shared during this Twelve Days of Gift Giving event! Kim Kesti

Hello everyone! Popped in to share a quick and easy way to use our Flower Circles Die for a Christmas card with a fun twist. wfc-merry-and-bright-card We will start with a regular A2 cardbase made from a piece of green cardstock and a 4"x4" piece of pink cardstock. wfc-merry-and-bright-card-step-1 Diecut the biggest scallop circle in Flower Circles Die from the cardbase. wfc-merry-and-bright-card-step-2 Use foam adhesive to mount the pink backing card on the back of the scalloped opening. wfc-merry-and-bright-card-step-3 Add foam adhesive to the circle diecut, using the scalloped circle as a guide, adhere the circle to the center of the window. wfc-merry-and-bright-card-step-4 Add a dot of glue to the pointed ends of the scalloped window. wfc-merry-and-bright-card-step-5 Adhere the scalloped diecut to the window. wfc-merry-and-bright-card-step-6 Stamp the sentiment from Holiday Labels - Merry Stamp Set with white ink on some pink cardstock. wfc-merry-and-bright-card-step-7 Diecut with our Holiday Label 1 Die and adhere to the card front. wfc-merry-and-bright-card-step-8 The color combo can be easily changed to your liking!
