DesignTeamHeadshots-LorenaCantoHello there! Lorena here with a brand new Five for Friday post full of inspiration! Lately, I’ve been in love with all things coral. It’s a really pretty color, perfect for both Spring and Summer, and it combines beautifully with soft shades (like mint), with bold ones (turquoise!) and even with trendy metalics. Here are a few coral crushes I’m having right now…
  1. Let’s start with an amazing coral reef. Because, you know, it wasn’t Anthropologie that invented this shade * wink *
coral 1 source
  1. An ombre coral cake? Yes, please!!!
coral 2 source
  1. Coral seems to be hot for bridesmaids gowns, but you can wear it anytime! This dress is proof. Isn’t it gorgeous, combined with navy trellis?
coral 3 source
  1. This fabric: Fluffy llamas on a flowery coral background. I. just. can’t. even…
coral 4 source
  1. The beautiful coral is making a dent in décor, too. I love how beautifully curated this little corner is.
coral 5 source So the occasion called for some coral paper crafting, and here’s what I did. WFC coral 1 I double die cut the A2 panel from Lacy Layers die to make a square panel in coral, and then used the Lacy Flowers  and Lacy Flowers Mats die to make some inlaid die cutting over vellum. WFC coral 2 I finished the card with Celebrate word die cut from glittery gold fun foam, and gold twine. WFC coral 3 I also tried some tone on tone coral on this tag, but this time I used glittery white fun foam for the sentiment, which comes from the Congrats die set. WFC coral 4 I hope you enjoyed this coral parade! Happy weekend! -Lorena

DesignTeamHeadshots-KatieGehringHi Everyone! Katie here with a round up of Friday inspiration that’s proves the old saying “a picture is worth a thousand words.” That’s right friends, we’re talking emojis. These cartoon-like creations not only help us express our feelings, but they are also seemingly bent on global domination. Look around- they’re everywhere and not just in your text messages. Now you can...

Eat feelings for breakfast…

Make breakfast more fun with some waffles and strategically arranged fruit. source

Love your walls

Emojis + marquee lighting… does it get any trendier than this? Emoji Marquee source

Wear your feelings on your sleeve (or your shirt)

Hello, Waffle Flower friends! Lorena here today for a brand new Five for Friday. We are all yearning for Spring, aren't we? So I thought I could focus on the awesomeness of that Season that's almost here. Let's get started!!! 1. After months of cold weather and empty, snow covered gardens, the promise of greener days starts to show... spring 1 Source 2. And before you know it, everything around will be in bloom. spring 2 Source 3. Not to mention Easter! Eggs! Peeps! It's the time for all things pretty and pastel! spring 3 Source 4. Although Summer seems to be a wedding favorite, Spring is too such a beautiful season to tie the knot spring 4 Source 5. And April Fools is another Spring favourite date, right? This joke for kids cracks me :) spring 5 Source After all this inspiration, I decided I wanted to stamp a Spring wreath to celebrate all things flowery and pretty. Twig wreaths seem to be very trendy lately, so I searched in my Waffle Flower Stash until I found the perfect stamp to create the twig base for my wreath. Can you guess what I used? wreath1 The wonky circle/moon outline from Starry Night stamp set happened to be exactly what I needed. I stamped it several times and voilá! A twig wreath ready to hold some pretty flowers and leaves from Loved stamp set. wreath2 The sentiment comes from the newly released Welcome Spring stamp set. I added a bit of glitter to the flowers with a clear Wink of Stella pen and the rustic white pannel was cut from the also bran new Lacy Layers die. wreath3 And there you have it! I'm ready to welcome Spring now. Thanks for visiting and happy weekend! wreath411

[Five for Friday] Pantone Colors of the Year - Katie Gehring

DesignTeamHeadshots-KatieGehringHello friends, Katie here. When Pantone Institute announced the two colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity, I was surprised. After years of Tangerine, Emerald, Merlot, and even Radiant Orchid, Rose Quartz and Serenity seemed like a bit of a departure. Here’s how Pantone explained their dual choice.   pantone-color-of-the-year-lee-eiseman-quote source At first, the colors made me think of the 1980’s Miami Vice or even Hello Kitty’s Little Twin Stars. In the first few months of 2016, I have seen these colors pop up more and more from fashion to home decor and it’s truly a color combination that is:

[Five for Friday] Love, Actually - Lorena Cantó

DesignTeamHeadshots-LorenaCantoHello there! It's Lorena today with a Valentine edition of our Five for Friday. You may have noticed the title of this post is "stolen" from a film. "Love, actually" is one of my all time favorite titles, and even though many catalogue it as a Christmas movie, what I adore about it is how it depicts so many different kinds of love. So there comes my inspiration for this post: many different kinds of love! I guess a good point for starting is romantic love, and this cute bananas idea made me smile (and reminded me of the whole Willy & Friends series!) WFC Love 1

source

Other beautiful form of love is love for children, not only our kids, which I know is one of the deepest loves one can feel, but also the love for all children, which represents our love for mankind and our hope in the future WFC love 2

source

Of course, in a love list I need to include pets! Animal love is perhaps one of the purest forms of love. They love unconditionally, they don’t judge us, and they sure know how to make themselves a place in our hearts. WFC love 3

source

Another one I want to mention is love for our environment, love for nature and for all the beautiful natural wonders that surround us. Oh, and I chose this image because believe, hugging a tree is an amazing, powerful and recharging experience. Promise! WFC love 4

source

Last, but not least, is love for others. This quote by the ever charming Audrey Hepburn sums it up beautifully. I’m talking the kind of love that moves us to help other people: compassion. The love that we show towards others in need, the love that makes me believe in mankind. WFC Love 5

source

And you see, for today I obviously bring you a Love card… love 1 The star of the show is the Papercut Alpha die, which is super easy to line up. The stamped sentiment comes from Tribal Bear stamp set. love 2 I also put to work the cute flowers included in Leafy stamp set and coordinating dies. I used the outline version and colored it with Copic markers and some Wink of Stella clear glitter. There’s also a solid version of this flower in the set, that allows making an even quicker card. love 3 And there you go! Much love to you all, I hope you have a fantastic Valentine Day this Sunday! - Lorena

[Five for Friday] Inspiration for the New Year - Lorena

on January 22, 2016

DesignTeamHeadshots-LorenaCantoHello, friends! Lorena here! It's time for a new Five for Friday and I thought I could share with you today five of the things that inspire me for this new year that has just begun. Some new year purposes, if you wish. First of all, organize! I want to be able to stay on top of things as much as I can, and planning is key for that. The awesome Waffle Flower Crafts planner products will play a very important role in my planning for 2016! new year 1

source

Second, I want to heat a bit more healthy, which doesn't mean boring, right? Look at this dish, doesn't it look yummy? new year 2

source

Third comes becoming friends again with exercise. Lets be honest… I'll never run a marathon but hey, all this beautiful yoga mats in the pic make me want to try to get a bit fit, ha! new year 3

source

The fourth purpose is probably the most important for me, and it's to be present. We're all such busy bees! I'm sure I'm not the only one who has a 24/7 spinning brain, so I'm going to try and be able to stop, breathe and be in the very moment when the occasion deserves it. I don't want to miss a special moment because my mind was mentally listing the groceries that need to be bought tomorrow :) new year 4

source

And I've left for last another crucial one. Create! After a bit of a dry spell, I'm itching to get inky and all things crafty, and let me tell you: it's going to happen! new year 5

source

So, with all that five things in mind, I used some of the newest Waffle Flower planner goodies to create a card with an inspiring message. happy life 1 I used all the lovely icons in Recharge stamp set to create a colorful background full of things I love. Next, I die cut a rectangle using one of the tags from Surface - Tag die - Starter Kit. To make it, I die cut the tag first, and then I flipped it, lined and die cut it again to end up with two straight edges. The sentiment is from the beloved Bowtiful stamp set. I love that "It's a decision" phrase. happy life 2 And that's it for today! I wish you the very best for the new year! -- Lorena

[Five for Friday] Holiday Planning - Katie Gehring

DesignTeamHeadshots-KatieGehringHello friends,
Katie here.  It’s not even Thanksgiving yet, and I have big, big plans for this holiday season.  Check it out.
This year we are forgoing our traditional live cut evergreen in favor of a white Christmas tree. I hope that ours looks as fun and festive as the one pictured below.
These paper ornaments would look stunning on our white tree.  The 3D Diamond Template Die and the Rosette Hearts Template Die will come in handy if I try to recreate this look myself.

I also love the whimsical look of these DIY pom pom pinecones.  These would be easy enough for the kids to create.

More Pom-Poms- in this case the wool felted kind- make for a charming garland.

I have a tendency to horde those super cute paper straws. This wreath would give me a way to use up my stash and pick up a few more.

My project

As you know, all this holiday magic doesn’t happen on its own.  That’s why I took a few minutes earlier this month to create a holiday planner using a notebook that you can find in the dollar spot at a craft store. It’s small and light enough to slip in my pocket book when I am out and about and I can leave my larger planner at home. I used the Magical Stamp Set along with Stay Focused Die to create this holiday planner.  In this planner, I will track all my lists, ideas, and to-dos to help make this holiday magical.  Stop by my blog for more details.

Five for Friday - Pretty Presents by Katie Gehring

DesignTeamHeadshots-KatieGehringHello friends,
Katie here.  The holidays are approaching and one of my favorite parts of the season is wrapping gifts.  Unfortunately, I am usually running around at the last minute, and I run out of time to do much more than wrap the gifts and hastily stick a label and plastic bow to the center.  My plan this year is to finish my shopping early, so I can spend some time thinking about presentation- pretty papers and stunning accents.  To inspire and motivate myself and share some inspiration with you, I am sharing some ideas for festive gift wrap.

Gilded Elegance

I love these elegant gifts adorned with feathers and touches of gold. I think the Feather More stamp set and Feather More dies would help replicate this look.

DIY Giftwrap

These gorgeously textured gifts were wrapped in wall paper and fabric- what a great use of materials from a DIY home improvement project!

Mod and Monochrome

Festive Foliage

Replace the plastic gift wrap and bows with eco friendly kraft and natural materials including evergreens, cinnamon and berries. These presents smell as good as they look.

I adore this sweet color combination of red, pink, aqua and lots of white.
