A Project Life Spread From Start to Finish with Patricia Roebuck

on September 19, 2014
Hello everyone! While we're busy preparing for our October release, our friend Patricia is taking over the blog today!
Patricia Roebuck is one of those crafters who are super talented, yet so sweet, so humble and so kind. We got to know each other through a design team a couple years ago and finally met at CHA earlier this year! We happened to have some friends in common and got to chat in real life! I am a card maker but I adore all my scrapbooker friends! I guess our passion and love for life is the bond?

A Project Life Spread - From Star to Finish

Hello!  I am so thrilled to be here.  I hope to do Nina’s stamps and dies justice.  They are such a great quality and so many different options with just one set.  I used Be My Guest stamp setBowtiful stamp setStarry Night stamp setTiny Circle Die, and Tiny Star Die for my Project Life spread.
Because I wanted to incorporated a lot of stamping, after I picked out my photos, I chose pattern papers that complimented my photos and that would work great with the stamps.
For my title or week card, I used the Tiny Circle DieTiny Star Die, and Be My Guest stamp set.
I added stamping on several of the cards and/or photos.  I love how the “HELLO” from the Bowtiful stamp set fit perfectly on a label to layer with my journaling.  And the Starry Night stamp set worked so well with this photo and pattern paper.
Using Starry Night stamp set, I stamped directly on my photo with a black permanent ink, added soft texture with the stars onto this die cut, and added more layers over this pattern paper.
The stamps and dies worked so well with my Project Life spread.  They added texture, color, and sentiments.
Pure Awesomeness, right? Thank you, Patricia, for sharing your talent with us! If you haven't already, you can find a card and a personalized notepad Patricia shared on her blog using our products here!
Thank everyone for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Reach for the Stars with Agnieszka Malyszek

on September 09, 2014
Hello everyone! We have another guest today! wfc-guest-blogger-aga-starry-night-card-7 Agnieszka, aka Aga at just made from paper, is one of the first bloggers I've followed. I just love her projects and her photos! She has a fresh and modern style that is truly one of a kind. I love that she can come up with stunning cards from simple supplies. Take today's card for example, who would've thought of connecting the stamped confetti dots with a pencil?! See for yourself!

Reach for the Stars Card

Hi Everyone! I am extremely excited to be a Guest Designer at Waffle Flower today! My project is a CAS card featuring the new set called Starry Night and the Tiny Star Die:   I started my card by stamping the stars in a grey ink onto a grey card base: wfc-guest-blogger-aga-starry-night-card-1 I used an ordinary pencil to draw lines between stars and make them look like constellations. wfc-guest-blogger-aga-starry-night-card-2 Then, I used the little star die and cut out a dozen stars out of white cardstock. wfc-guest-blogger-aga-starry-night-card-3 Next I heat embossed the “reach for the stars” sentiment in gold. wfc-guest-blogger-aga-starry-night-card-4 wfc-guest-blogger-aga-starry-night-card-5 Finally I adhered all stars to my card base and finished it off with a piece of vellum, a white thread and the sentiment. wfc-guest-blogger-aga-starry-night-card-6 Thank you Nina for having me as a Guest Designer today! I've loved creating with your amazing stamps! Aga

On 3x4 journaling cards

On A2 Cards

I layered two 3x4 journaling cards together to make a card: wfc-shoot-for-the-moon-card The focal was stamped in one step: wfc-land-among-the-stars-step Inking the same composition with white ink turned out to be very cute: wfc-land-among-the-stars-card Let the stamps do the work is what "easy to use" means in my book.

More Tiny Dies

In this release, we also have two more tiny dies

Tiny Circle Die

Tiny Circle Die The Tiny Circle Die works as a base for the Tiny Star Die as well as our popular Tiny Heart Die. wfc-tiny-circle-star-dies I used the small solid circle stamp from our Flower Circles Stamp Set to add color to the Tiny Circle bases. I then adhered the tiny stars on top to make these fun embellishments for a card: wfc-stars-make-me-dream-card Rotate the stars to get different looks from one die. All the sentiments from Starry Night Stamp Set will work great with these dies! Joni used the moon stamp to create a flower on her card here! How clever?! Check out the details on her blog!
