To usher this new challenge in and to give you all some inspiration we have our September challenge winner, Eva, sharing a beautiful card she created featuring the Succulents Stamp Set! Take away Eva! ;)

Hello everyone! I am Eva. I am absolutely excited and thankful to be a guest designer for Waffle Flower Crafts this month. Thank you very much to the whole Waffle Flower team for giving me this opportunity. I have made a card, inspired by the November Challenge photo/color combo. wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-7-jpeg First I die cut some words using the Awesome word die, and glued them on a piece of white cardstock to create my background panel. I love this die!!!Then I stamped some flowers from the Succulents stamp set, using Versamark ink and clear embossing powder and colored them with Distress ink. The flowers were adhered to the panel, with 3d foam to add dimension and applied perfect pearl.  wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-2-jpeg I cut my panel diagonally. At the bottom of the card I added an Awesome word die cut out of violet cardstock and foam. To finish my card, I inked the edges with grey Distress ink, added a ribbon and some sequins. I hope you like it! wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-3-jpeg wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-4-jpeg wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-5-jpeg Inside the card I stamped a flower and then used the Welcome spring stamp set to add some stripes and the partial sentiment YOU'RE, from the Succulent stamp set. wfc-20161110-awesome-flowers-eva-6-jpeg I hope you enjoyed and found some inspiration. Have a wonderful day! Eva   Supplies: Awesome Word Die Succulents Stamp Set Welcome Spring Stamp Set

[Guest] More Cards from Anna Kossakovskaya

on May 12, 2016
Hello everyone! Anna here with two more cards for Waffle Flower!

Celebrate Card

Celebrate Card For this card, I die cut Celebrate Word Die from white cardstock a few times and stacked the layers to make a dimensional element. I masked the top half of the card base and blended two ink colors on the bottom half. I then diecut Celebrate word out from the inked paper and added the stacked word element behind to create the "chipboard" look. Butterflies are from Welcome Spring stamp set. Celebrate Card Side

Dance Card

Monkey Dance Card This card is a favorite of mine. I was blown away by Willy & Friends stamp set! I can think of so many fun "stories" for these cute monkeys! Monkey Dance Card closeup For this card, I was inspired by the sentiment from this set - "Dance like no one's watching". On the front panel, I masked Willy and stamped Claire on top to make them look like that they are sitting close to each other, watching Faye dance. Monkey Dance Card Side I stamped the hill (from Welcome Spring stamp set) and then stamped, colored and cutout Faye to adhere to card using some foam tape. The rosy cheeks stamps are from Willy & Friends. -Anna Thank you so much for sharing with us today, Anna! We love the clean & graphic look on the celebrate card and love, love the story you are telling with your second card!   Find time to create and make something today!

Inspiration from the Challenge Team - April 11, 2016

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Shelly, Laura Jane along with our guest spot winner Amina are here to share their takes on this month's Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our challenge too! wfc-201604-photo Marcie Sharp Products: Magical Stamp Set Lacy Flowers Die Celebrate Word Die Lacy Flower Mats Die WFC 4-11 Marcie Sharp What Marcie Says: I used the colours in the inspiration picture and channelled all the springtime vibes I could to create a pretty floral focal piece for my card. The Lacy Flower Mats Die and Lacy Flowers Die made this SO easy to do. Repeatedly stamping the thin lines from the Magical set and adding few ink splatters in a tone on tone look make a plain yellow card base a little more interesting. Finally, a bold pink sentiment draws your eye right where it needs to go and sequins give it a bit of bling. :) Daria Grushina Products: Leafy Stamp Set WFC 4-11 Daria Grushina What Daria Says: I was inspired by the gorgeous bouquet from the inspiration photo and decided to make my own... Unfortunately I do not have any umbrella die (that would look cool too)... So I just took a piece of craft cardstock to make the packaging and then colored and fussy cut lots and lots of flowers from Leafy Stamp set... Using coordinating dies would be so much faster... but they are still on my shopping list (wink) Shona Chambers Products: Awesome Word Die Congrats Stamp Set Willy Stamp Set Welcome Spring Stamp Set WFC 4-11 Shona Chambers What Shona Says: Using the tulip image as the focal point, I stamped the images in black on the card front and coloured with pencils. The word die was die-cut 3x, glued together and adhered to the card along with the rest of the sentiment. Thank you for sharing such beautiful creations with us, Ladies! We're lucky to have you! [Guest] Welcome Spring Card by Anna Kossakovskaya

on April 07, 2016
Hello everyone! Anna here! Welcome Spring Card I combined Welcome Spring stamp set with the cute and fun little monkey from Willy & Friends stamp set. I think everyone who has seen these two sets together would want to put the cute little animals on the monkey's head. I also decided to put the monkey into the basket (- I mean, just look at his eyes! he must be eyeing it for a long time!). Bunny and kitty were on his back and got in the basket too. As a final touch, I added the little hat from Willy & Friends to the kitty's head. Welcome Spring Card closeup I made the background with the tulips from Welcome Spring set using no-line coloring technique. I stamped them with light-grey inks and then colored and blended the background with green and blue Distress inks. Welcome Spring Card Side -Anna Thank you so much for sharing with us today, Anna! Your scene completes Willy's mischievous look! What fun!

[Guest] I Like Ewe Card by Torico

on March 29, 2016
Hi everyone! It's Torico here! I have a simple and cute card to share with you today. WFC160329-1 At the first glance I fell in love with this super cute lamb from the Welcome Spring stamp set and thought that it would be fun stacking him (her?) up. I stamped them using the masking technique, colored with Copics, and cut them out with scissors. I cut a panel of patterned paper and stamped the sentiment with dark gray ink. I also stamped the tiny heart from the set three times, colored them with Copics, and added some Glossy Accents. I matted the panel with a cream cardstock panel and adhered to a red card base. The stacked lambs were popped up with foam tape. WFC160329-2 Thank you so much for stopping by! - Torico

[Guest] Easter Shaker Card by Torico

on March 22, 2016
Hi everyone! It’s Torico here and I am so thrilled to be guest designing for Waffle Flower! As Easter is just around the corner, I decided to create an Easter themed shaker card for today. WFC160322-1 First I stamped the grass image from the Egg Hunt stamp set repeatedly on a white panel and colored them with Copics. After I masked them, I daubed some light pink dye ink and stamped the sentiment in black. I cut another white panel and cut out a rectangle window from it using the Lacy Layers Die. After I added a piece of acetate to the window I adhered a yellow scalloped frame cut with the Lacy Layers Die. WFC160322-2 For my shaker elements I put several Easter eggs along with some sequins and glitters. I white embossed the eggs from the Egg Hunt stamp set onto colored card stock (pink, purple, and aqua), colored some part of them with Copics, and cut them out using the matching die. WFC160322-3 I stamped, colored, and die cut Clair from the Willy & Friends stamp set, and gave her a pair of cute bunny ears from the Welcome Spring stamp set. She looks like she is enjoying an Easter egg hunt! Thank you for stopping by! -Torico

Five for Friday - Welcome Spring by Lorena

on March 11, 2016
Hello, Waffle Flower friends! Lorena here today for a brand new Five for Friday. We are all yearning for Spring, aren't we? So I thought I could focus on the awesomeness of that Season that's almost here. Let's get started!!! 1. After months of cold weather and empty, snow covered gardens, the promise of greener days starts to show... spring 1 Source 2. And before you know it, everything around will be in bloom. spring 2 Source 3. Not to mention Easter! Eggs! Peeps! It's the time for all things pretty and pastel! spring 3 Source 4. Although Summer seems to be a wedding favorite, Spring is too such a beautiful season to tie the knot spring 4 Source 5. And April Fools is another Spring favourite date, right? This joke for kids cracks me :) spring 5 Source After all this inspiration, I decided I wanted to stamp a Spring wreath to celebrate all things flowery and pretty. Twig wreaths seem to be very trendy lately, so I searched in my Waffle Flower Stash until I found the perfect stamp to create the twig base for my wreath. Can you guess what I used? wreath1 The wonky circle/moon outline from Starry Night stamp set happened to be exactly what I needed. I stamped it several times and voilá! A twig wreath ready to hold some pretty flowers and leaves from Loved stamp set. wreath2 The sentiment comes from the newly released Welcome Spring stamp set. I added a bit of glitter to the flowers with a clear Wink of Stella pen and the rustic white pannel was cut from the also bran new Lacy Layers die. wreath3 And there you have it! I'm ready to welcome Spring now. Thanks for visiting and happy weekend! wreath411
