DesignTeamHeadshots-Tessa Hello everyone! Tessa Wise here! My girls love these glow-in-the-dark stars and wanted to include them in their valentine's this year.  I tucked them away in some embossed vellum bags and decorated the outside using an out-of-this-world galaxy technique done with our Starry Night Stamp Set and Surface-Tag Die- Starter Kit.

DesignTeamHeadshots-Sabrina I-Like-You-This-Much-Valentines-Waffle-Flower-Sabrina-Alery-4 Hello! Its Sabrina sharing an idea for silly valentine’s with you today. I can never get enough puns, especially at Valentine’s time! There are just so many cute ones like this “I love you this……..much” sentiment included in the On My Mark stamp set. When combined with the coordinating die, it really makes for some cute mini cards! I-Like-You-This-Much-Valentines-Waffle-Flower-Sabrina-Alery-1-1   The cat and dog images are already long and stretched out but adding an accordion folded mid section makes them extra silly! I-Like-You-This-Much-Valentines-Waffle-Flower-Sabrina-Alery-2-1   There is room inside to tuck in a small treat if you wanted to hand something like this out at school, but they are cute even without something extra. I-Like-You-This-Much-Valentines-Waffle-Flower-Sabrina-Alery-3-1   I closed them with a small piece of washi tape to help create a little anticipation! It will also keep any treats contained inside. Here is a quick video for making these punny cat and dog valentine cards: http://youtu.be/opDuWST6hTo SUPPLIES - On My Mark Stamp Set - On My Mark Die Set Hoping you are enjoying silly valentine week! -Sabrina

Silly Valentine Week - Classroom Valentine Card Set by Katie Gehring

DesignTeamHeadshots-KatieGehring Hello friends,
Katie here sharing an idea for a set of silly Valentines- perfect for the classroom.  To make these Valentines, I used the materials picture below including the On My Mark stamp set, On My Mark die and the Flutter stamp set.
 WFC Gehring Silly Valentine1-1
I trimmed panels of white card stock to 3.25 x 4.25 and adhered some washi tape at the bottom. Next I stamped the polka dot heart from the Flutter stamp set.  A quick tip that I wanted to share… notice the heart on the left is a bit splotchy.  It was the first time I stamped it and with large solid images, sometimes you need to condition the stamps a bit.  I cleaned the ink off the stamp and roughed up the surface just a bit with a fine grit sanding block and look at the stamped image on the right- it inked up and stamped perfectly.
WFC Gehring Silly Valentine2-1
Next, I made a mask using thin card stock and stamped the striped heart in blue ink.  I was using a post it note originally, but I noticed after a few uses, the blue ink was bleeding through- not exactly the look I was going for, so I switched to a heavier paper.  One of the challenges of heavier paper is that the image that you are stamping over the masked image may have some challenges getting right up to the mask, so I used this sponge-tip tool called Fantastix to apply ink next to the mask.  I found Fantastix in the ink section at JoAnn’s.
WFC Gehring Silly Valentine3
After the hearts were in place, I stamped the sentiment from the On My Mark stamp set.  I also stamped and die cut the kitty also from the On My Mark stamp set and wrapped him with some embroidery floss.  This is where my girls let a hand wrapping the kitty with string.  A bit of washi tape on the back of the die cut will hold the string in place.
WFC Gehring Silly Valentine4
I adhered the wrapped kitties with some foam tape.
WFC Gehring Silly Valentine5
And here they are, a set of six Silly Valentines- wrapped in love, string and a bit of washi tape.  The kids can add the "to" and “from" inscription on the back or near the small heart.
WFC Gehring Silly Valentine7
Well, that’s all for me today, but be sure to stop by tomorrow and every day this week for more silly Valentine inspiration.

LOVE-Valentine-Waffle-Flower-Crafts-Sabrina-4 DesignTeamHeadshots-SabrinaHello everyone! Sabrina here! Today I have another episode of Watch It Wednesday to share with you. Are you ever uncertain what to do with those tiny image stamps that are often included in stamp sets? This tutorial will give you one idea that I think is pretty fun. LOVE-Valentine-Waffle-Flower-Crafts-Sabrina-Alery-1 I used the small heart image (along with a few other stamps) from the DT Mix Stamp Set to build some letters for the valentine’s sentiment “LOVE.” It’s a really simple way to get more mileage out of your stamp sets and also creates a great design element on your paper crafts. Let’s take a look! Watch the video below or in HD on YouTube http://youtu.be/p_iFwLEEGMc Here is a closeup photo for you: LOVE-Valentine-Waffle-Flower-Crafts-Sabrina-Alery-2

Glamorous Handmade Necklace Holder Box and #MakeitGiveit Sweepstakes

Hello everyone! Nina here! I'm excited to share a quick way to custom-made a necklace holder with the popular Envelope Punch Board and the #MakeItGiveIt Sweepstakes - a partnership between Jo-Ann Stores and the National Military Family Association.

Glamorous Handmade Necklace Holder Box

We went all gold and glamor for our tree and gift wrapping this year. We can all use some glitter and metallic shine for Christmas, can't we? glamorous-gifts

The oversized golden flowers were made with the Flower Punch Board from some Goldie Lox Foil Paper. I've shared a tutorial on the Flower Punch Board earlier here and I am sharing a quick how-tos for the necklace holder made from a piece of kraft cardstock (12"x12") and the Envelope Punch Board. envelope-box-necklace-in   Ever since Laura shared the Box Buster with us, I've been wanting to try it! How cool is it to make any size of a box using our beloved Envelope Punch Board? I measured the necklace (handmade by my crafty friend Kimmers!) and decided the size for the box: 7-1/2" (depth), 4" (width) and 1" (height). I put these numbers in and got the following measurements: Paper Size: 10-3/8" First Punch: 3-1/4" Second Punch: 4-5/8" It took me a while to figure out how to use these measurements but once I did it was super quick and easy to make one! 1. Trim cardstock to 10-3/8" square. Score and Punch at both 3-1/4" and 4-5/8" at one side: envelope-box-first-score If your paper overhangs the board, you can put a piece of cardstock along a score line to help extend it in the same direction. envelope-box-extending-score-lines 2. Rotate the paper 180 degrees to score and punch at 3-1/4" and 4-5/8" on the opposite side. Finished as shown: envelope-box-measurements 3. Rotate the paper 90 degrees, either direction will work. lined up the score lines with the pointer and score the rest of the lines: envelope-box-other-sides Rotate 180 degrees to finish the last side. envelope-box-finished-score 4. Mark the center of the edges of the small flaps and score from where the two score lines crossed: envelope-box-mark-center So we can fold the flaps in as shown: envelope-box-fold 5. Trim one of the longer flaps and close the box: envelope-box-step-4   6. [Optional] Use a Hook & Loop Tab to close the box. You can also fasten with a piece of tape on the outside. envelope-box-valcro-closure 7. Make your flowers. Tutorial hereI paired the size S and L flowers for my box. envelope-box-flower-punch-board The oversized foil flower made all the difference! envelope-box-necklace-out You can also just tie ribbon around the box. I tried some super glittery tape: envelope-box-gliter-bow But the gold looks so cute under the tree! glamorous-gifts-under-tree Wrapping the gifts totally brought my holiday spirit up another level!

Hello everyone! Are you getting busier and busier for the holiday season? Waffle Flower had such an amazing feedback from you for our Fall collection released in October that we have been packing like crazy everyday for the last 1.5 month. I finally got some time this weekend to make something at my craft table and I decided to do a video. Many of you are asking for more videos and we will try, ok? I'm so new to video making and there are so much to learn. How to talk naturally? Anyway, here is my inspiration for today's card!
