Hi everyone! Amanda here today with my take on the June
Waffle Flower Challenge. This bright, playful photo lends itself to so many fun interpretations.
I am crazy about the arrangement of the ombre canvases in the June Challenge inspiration photo. While brainstorming a way to mimic the overlapping, curled canvases, I spotted a stack of sticky notes on my desk. These little sticky notes were the perfect size for a card, and consequently, the perfect size for the scribble and sentiments from the
Doily Square Stamp Set.
Using
Waffle Flower chalk inks, I stamped several different colors onto sticky notes and played around with the arrangement of the on the front of the card. Once I settled on an arrangement that I was happy with, I stamped the sentiment on the top square.

Picking the colors for this card was the most fun! I chose colors based on the inspiration photo, but this card would look equally as lovely using another color palette. I used #5 from the
Spring Blend Inkpad and #9, 10, 12, 13, and 16 from the
Summer Blend Inkpad.
Gently curl up the ends of each sticky note with a pencil before affixing them to the card. This will help the ends of the sticky notes spring up like the canvases in the inspiration photo.
Add some movement to the card by stamping a few dashes here and there. These lines may be little, but they can have a big impact on the visual balance of a card.
Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Amanda! Now we need to go and roll some paper! LOL

Great card, Amanda! I’ve never stamped with chalks before. Do you need to prepare them some way to keep them from smearing? Love the look with the dashes, too!
