Shelly, Laura Jane, Katie and our challenge guest Kelly Szafron are here to share their takes on this month’s Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our August challenge too! wfc-201608-photo Shelly Kurth Products: Hibiscus Stamp Set Leafy Stamp Set Sentiments Die Awesome Word Die WFC 8-8 Shelly Kurth What Shelly Says: I started with doing a little watercoloring for my background, using the Leafy Stamp Set. After, I used the Sentiments die and stamped on my sentiment pieces, using the Hibiscus Stamp Set. Then, I used the Awesome Word Die with silver glitter cardstock and white cardstock. Once done, I layered the die cut pieces together and added it to my card. To finish things off, I added a little bit of twine. Laura Jane Products: Snail Mail Stamp Set Flutter Stamp Set Lacy Layers Die Doily Square Die Snail Mail Die WFC 8-8 Laura Jane What Laura Jane Says: I created a pattern background using the Snail Mail and Flutter Stamp Sets. Double stamping the butterflies for more interest. The Lacy Layers Die provided me with a sweet frame as well as the Doily Square Die. The coordinating Snail Mail Dies layered beautifully with the sentiment from the Lacy Flower Stamp Set. Katie Gehring Products: Birthday Fishes Stamp Set Birthday Fishes Die WFC 8-8 Katie Gehring What Katie Says: For my card, I was definitely inspired by the nautical vibe in the inspiration photo, but went “under the sea" with the Birthday Fishes Stamp Set and coordinating dies. I used Salty Ocean Distress Ink spritzed with water and some White Linen Dylusions Ink Spray to create the backdrop for this fish party. Kelly Szafron (Guest) Products: Little Mermaids Stamp Set WFC 8-8 Guest Kelly Szafron What Kelly Says: I was inspired by the seaside feel to the room in the photo and the colors. I stamped the mermaids and starfish, colored them with Copics, fussy cut them and added Glossy Accents and Spectrum Noir glitter to them. For the background I sponged two shades of distress inks, splattered it with water, stamped the bubbles, painted the bubbles with water to lighten them and sprayed the piece with Shimmer Spritz. After adhering the sentiment, monkeys and starfish to the background and card base I added sequins and Nuvo glitter for more sparkle.

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Issa, York Tee, Channin and Tessa are here to share their takes on this month’s Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our July challenge too! wfc-201607-photo Isha Gupta Products: Celebrate Word Die, Tribal Bear Stamp Set, Congrats Stamp Set WFC 7-18 Isha Gupta What Isha Says: The inspiration photo inspired me to think light, airy and fresh. That led me to think feathers floating in the air somehow :) Ong York Tee Products: Little Mermaids Stamp Set, Little Mermaids Die, Waffle Flower Dye Inks in Daydreaming, Oh Happy Day, and Happy Go Lucky WFC 7-18 Ong York Tee What York Tee Says: I was inspired by the colors and the setting in the inspiration photo. I thought of something cool like swimming in the pool or diving in the sea. I used the Little Mermaids Stamp Set to create an under the sea scene. I started with stamping. Then, I colored the Mermaid and Oyster with Pearl with Chameleon Pen. For the rest of the images, I used sponge daubers to blend the colors using our newly release COLOR STORY premium dye ink pads. After coloring, I used matching dies to cut everything out. Once done, I arranged and adhered them to the card base. The mermaid was popped up with foam squares. Then, I stamped the sentiments. Lastly, I sponged some blue dye ink and stamped the water bubbles. Tada! Channin Pelletier Products: Little Mermaids Stamp Set WFC 7-18 Channin Pelletier What Channin Says: I was so excited about the color palette for this month’s challenge! My mind instantly went to the beach and with my new Little Mermaids set I could hardly wait to create an ocean scene. I first copic colored and fussy cut all my images. I only have a small collection of copics so I had to stamp some of my images on colored cardstock then color them to create colors similar to this photo’s palette. I then blended Daydreaming ink on a 5” x 7” panel of white card stock and then stamped and embossed the sentiment. Next, I cut two strips of white card stock, mounted them on craft foam, and them adhered them to my panel. Lastly, I added foam tape to the starfish and mermaids then adhered them and the fish to the panel. Tessa Wise Products: Tiger & Lily Stamp Set, Tiger & Lily Die WFC 7-18 Tessa Wise What Tessa Says: July means summertime fun to me! I pulled some of the bright colors from the inspiration photos for my hula dancing sharks- the one on the left is causing some trouble! :)

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Marcie, Donna and Daria are here to share their takes on this month’s Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our July challenge too! wfc-201607-photo Marcie Sharp Products: Awesome Word Die, Willy & Friends Stamp Set, Tiger & Lily Stamp Set WFC 7-11 Marcie Sharp What Marcie Says: Using the bright and bold summery colours from the picture as my inspiration, I stamped the pineapple and heart, and coloured them with Copic markers. The sentiment was die cut from white cardstock and coloured with Copics as well. The teeny "you're" was trimmed from a sentiment in the Tiger & Lily stamp set. Don't be afraid to cut apart your stamps to get the look or words you want! Shona Chambers Products: Welcome Spring Stamp Set, Willy and friends Stamp Set, Balloon Messages Stamp Set, Waffle Flower Inks – Daydreaming, Happy Go Lucky, You Said What? and Chirp Chirp WFC 7-11 Shona Chambers What Shona Says: I stamped the balloons twice with the new Waffle Flower Dye Ink Pads. I then stamped on the butterflies and coloured them with pencils. The bows were then stamped on with the strings, and then the panel popped up on foam tape. This was easily done with my Mini Misti!! Daria Grushina Products: Leafy Stamp Set WFC 7-11 Daria Grushina What Daria Says: July palette is so vibrant and bright. So, I just took coordinating colors of ink and was enjoying stamping. It turned out to be a one-layer card with simple sentiment (which translates "hello"). I also used one of my favorite WaffleFlower stamp set - Leafy - I just cant get enough of it :)

Lorena Canto Products: - Lacy Flowers Die, Awesome Word Die, Succulents Stamp Set WFC 7-4 Lorena Canto What Lorena Says: Once again it was the bright and summery colors against a white background what caught my attention! I die cut three of the layers from Lacy Flowers die and made some gradient ink blending on each of them, and repeated the same process with the Awesome word die cut. The sentiment comes from Succulents stamp set. Laura Dovalo, guest designer Products: Doily Circle Die, Congrats Word Die WFC 7-4 Guest Laura Dovalo4 What Laura Says: I love the bright colors of this month's palette and thought it would look great combined with the intricate Doily Circle Die. Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Marcie, Daria, Shona and our June guest designer Miriam are here to share their takes on this month’s Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our June challenge too! wfc-201606-photo Isha Gupta Products: In Every Way Stamp Set, Warm Wishes Stamp Set WFC 6-20 Isha Gupta What Isha Says: I really love the soft colors of the inspiration photo. The flowers all over the photo is the inspiration behind my background and the vases, well I didn't have any stamp like that and this cute and adorable Warm Wishes fits in perfectly :) Ong York Tee Products: Succulents Stamp Set, Loved Stamp Set, Succulents Die, Good Stuff Die WFC 6-20 Ong York Tee What York Tee Says: The painted mason jars inspired me to create a card with acrylic paints. I painted the colors randomly on a piece of white cardstock. After the paints dried up, I stamped the succulents from Succulents Stamp Set using Onyx Black and die cut them using the coordinating die - Succulents Die. Next, I measured and die cut the shape of a mason jar from a white panel by using the Good Stuff Die. I inked the edge of the leftover die cut mason jar with Pink. Then, I adhered a strip of grey bricks washi tape to the panel and layered it to a white card base. For the mason jar, I blended it with Sea Breeze from the outer edge to the inner part. I stamped the partial of the sentiment “LOVED” with Silver in the middle of the jar. A chiffon wired ribbon with a butterfly was attached to the left top corner of the mason jar and I adhered it to the card with form tapes. I positioned and layered the succulents which I prepared earlier with form tapes. Lastly, I stamped the other part of the sentiment “You’re” with Onyx Black. Channin Pelletier Products: Loved Stamp Set, Congrats Stamp Set WFC 6-20 Channin Pelletier What Channin Says: I was inspired by the soft colors and flowers found in the inspiration photo. I thought the colors would work well for a baby card. I blended inks then stamped a sweet sentiment from the Congrats set and flowers and leaves from the Loved set and white embossed them all. I trimmed down the panel but fussy cut around one side. Next, I sprinkled water over the panel and then added white gel pen accents around the flowers and leaves. Lastly, I blended ink on another panel creating a gradation, then mounted it on my card base along with my stamped panel which I mounted on craft foam. Tessa Wise Products: A Bunch Stamp Set, A Bunch Die, Snail Mail Stamp Set, Snail Mail Die, Balloon Messages Stamp Set WFC 6-20 Tessa Wise What Tessa Says: I was inspired by the colors and the flowers in the inspirational photo this month. I use the A Bunch Stamp Set to create a little garden scene for the cutie snails from the Snail Mail Stamp Set. After stamping and watercoloring each piece, I used the matching dies to cut everything out. This made everything so quick and easy to pull together!
Thank you for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Marcie, Daria, Shona and our June guest designer Miriam are here to share their takes on this month’s Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our June challenge too! wfc-201606-photo Marcie Sharp Products: Chunky Chevron Die, Lacy Flowers Die, Lacy Flower Mats Die, Succulents Stamp Set WFC 6-13 Marcie Sharp What Marcie Says: After die-cutting several of the Chunky Chevrons from cardstock, I adhered them to a white cardstock panel. The Lacy Flower Mats and one of the larger Lacy Flowers Dies make a perfect focal piece for this card, and along with a gold heat embossed sentiment help to soften up the hard lines from the chevrons in the background. A few scattered sequins finish it off, and the entire panel is adhered to a white card base using foam tape. Daria Grushina Products: Starry Night Stamp Set, In Every Way Stamp Set, Tiny Butterfly Die WFC 6-13 Daria Grushina What Daria Says: I just love the June palette, it is so soft and delicate, so I've wanted to make something with that feeling... I also think that a little butterfly replicates a little lantern from the photo, that shines so tender... Shona Chambers Products: Willy and Friends Stamp Set, Willy and Friends Die, Lotus Stamp Set WFC 6-13 Shona Chambers What Shona Says: I blended Distress Ink on the card front and flicked with water droplets. I stamped the Lotus Leaf, coloured lightly with green pencil and fussy cut. I stamped the monkey, her lei and flower on white cardstock, also coloured with pencils and used matching dies. They were all popped up on foam tape with the dragonflies and sentiment stamped in black ink. Miriam Prantner (guest) Products: Lacy Flower Stamp Set WFC 6-13 Miriam Prantner (guest) What Miriam Says: I was inspired by how delicate and lacy the flowers were and of course the colors. I stamped the image a few times and embossed, then used a cutting knife to remove portions to create that lacy effect. I was having a little trouble incorporating all the colors, and then opted to use some inktense pencils to lightly color in some sections on the doily and then wet them to blend the color.
Now, show us your take(s) by linking your project(s) to our June challenge here! Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Crafting!

Happy Monday, everyone! Time for some inspiration from the Challenge Team! Shelly, Laura Jane, Katie, Lorena and our June guest designer Ekaterina are here to share their takes on this month’s Waffle Flower Challenge! Join the fun by linking your projects to our June challenge too! wfc-201606-photo Shelly Kurth Products: Hibiscus Stamp Set, Hibiscus Die, Willy & Friends Stamp Set, Willy & Friends Die WFC 6-6 Shelly Kurth What Shelly Says: I started by stamping, then coloring in my images with colored pencils. After, I used the matching dies with them. Once done, I sponged a little bit of blue distress ink for my background and then layered together my die cut pieces. Laura Jane Products: A Bunch Stamp Set, A Bunch Die, Good Stuff Stamp Set, Good Stuff Die, Lacy Layers Die WFC 6-6 Laura Jane What Laura Jane Says: I chose to recreate the mirrored scene by using Lacy Layers to make frames. The A Bunch Stamp Set and Die made an easy bunch of flowers that I embossed, cut and colored quickly. Then I popped them into the jar from the Good Stuff Stamp Set. Katie Gehring Products: Good Stuff Stamp Set, Good Stuff Die, A Bunch Stamp Set, A Bunch Die, Lacy Layers Die WFC 6-6 Katie Gehring What Katie Says: I was inspirited by the colors in the challenge photo as well as the beautiful mason jar floral arrangements. I stamped and die cut images from the Good Stuff (http://waffleflower.com/product/good-stuff-stamp-set/) and A Bunch (http://waffleflower.com/product/a-bunch-stamp-set/) stamp sets. I water colored the jar and flowers and allowed everything to dry before adhering the flowers to the jar, adding the sentiment, and a small twine bow. I added the stamped image to a mat that I cut with the Lacy Layers Die. Lorena Canto Products: Lotus Stamp Set, Congrats Stamp Set WFC 6-6 Lorena Canto What Lorena Says: For my card, I was inspired in the florals, the beautiful colors and the overall "gold" halo of the inspiration image, which is absolutely stunning! I stamped one of the blooms from Lotus stamp set, masked it and stamped it again twice. I also used the masking technique to stamp the stems. Once I has all my stamping done, I watercolored the flowers with distress inks, and added a light blue outline to male the images pop. For the sentiment I stamped and white heat embossed the "Celebrate" from Congrats stamp set on a strip of gold cardstock. A few clear sequins finish off the card. Ekaterina Oleynik (Guest) Products: DT Mix Stamp Set WFC 6-6 Ekaterina Oleynik What Ekaterina Says: For this card I used the lovely DT Mix Stamp Set. I started by stamping a wreath with the flower stamps. I colored them using Chameleon markers. I used my diecut machine to cut a window in a panel of pale green cardstock. I used foam adhesive to adhere this to a white card base and then stamped the sentiment into the center. I added the floral wreath to finish it all off.
Now, show us your take(s) by linking your project(s) to our June challenge here! Thank you so much for stopping by! Happy Crafting!
