Hello, it's Mariko here. I am so happy to be sharing my pocket-style weekly photo album page as a Waffle Flower Crafts guest designer today. I am in love with Jumbo Letter Die, so I spelled "LOVE" with them for my wedding anniversary page from last week. Anniversary Project Life Spread MB_01   Jumbo Letter Dies neatly fit in the 3x4 inch vertical pocket leaving enough room for embellishment and small journals. Size really matters when it comes to pocket-style scrapbooking! Anniversary Project Life Spread MB 02 I also used Sketchy Alpha Stamp, Sketchy Numbers Stamp, Sketchy Numbers Die, and a tiny butterfly from Rosette Hearts Template Die. Anniversary Project Life Spread MB 03 I have used the Jumbo Letter Dies to spell "USA" for my 4th of July page, "SLC" for my Salt Lake City travel album, and I am planning to play with "NOEL" for this year's Christmas crafting. I am so excited for these stylish, versatile, and perfect-for-3x4in-pocket sized Jumbo Letter Dies! Thank you for stopping by!

Hello friends! So happy to guest on Waffle Flower Craft Blog again :)

Today, I have bookmarks that I create using Life Anchor and Little Mermaid
 vera-anchor-tags-3

I started by coloring the images from Little Mermaid with Copic markers, and heat embossed the anchor on blue navy card stock. I cut it out and assembled them onto bookmark card. My bookmark card size is 2.75" x 5" and I made the stripes background on it with watercolor paint.

You Are My Anchor Card 1
Hi! It's Deasy here. I'm so excited to share with you my first card as Waffle Flower Guest Designer. Thank you so much for having me!!
I played with two stamp sets from the newest Waffle Flower release, Life Anchor and Little Mermaid . I stamped the images and colored them using copic.
You Are My Anchor Card 2
The sentiment was heat embossed with white embossing powder. I used masking technique to make the waves using dye inks and a ink blending tool. As a finish touch, I added some clear droplets.

Hi there! I'm Elena, and thrilled to be guesting with Waffleflower today! I love working with Waffleflower stamps, especially because they are so unique! You won't find a mermaid-monkey stamp anywhere else, hee. I have 2 cards to share with you today. My first card combines Birthday Fishes with Little Mermaids. They pair so naturally together! birthday-fish-card I started out by coloring the sweet monkey with the seashell in her hair, the algae, the big balloon fish and the smaller fish. Once I colored them with copics, I die-cut them and assembled them onto a circle die-cut. I love the little fish staring at the fish balloon! Cracks me right up. birthday-fish-closeup Instead of masking, I've taken to making my die-cut images look more seamless by drawing in extra lines. Like I did on the monkey's hand that is holding the balloon string. My next card uses Little Mermaids exclusively: Perfect-day-card I colored both mermaids, and other images from the set (the pearl, of course! to go with the sentiment.) I arranged them all onto a Doily Square Die. I die-cut a square into the center of the doily using the inset square provided with the die-set. It is the perfect frame to match the jewel on the monkey's head. perfect-day-closeup I colored the little jewel drops around the doily in pink, to really match the jewel on the monkey's head. I hope you like the 2 cards I created! -- Elena

Take it away, Niki! nikibee-0719-snail-mail-leafy-1 Here is how i created it nikibee-0719-snail-mail-leafy-2 Once I had worked out my layout using the snail mail and leafy stamp sets. I used the MISTI to stamp and mask so i could create a one layer card. nikibee-0719-snail-mail-leafy-3 I used distress inks to watercolour. nikibee-0719-snail-mail-leafy-4 After building up the watercolour til i was happy, I layered the panel on some black card stock and mounted that on a craft card base. Cheers! Niki.

[Guest] Sunshine Claire Balloon Card by Niki

on July 14, 2016
Hello everyone! We are excited to have Niki (@nikibee.handmade on IG) as a guest on the blog today! Take it away, Niki! IMG_20160706_070232_wm I used Claire and the track from Snail Mail stamp set. I paired that with the sentiment and created a large balloon from Balloon Messages stamp set. I created my background by heart embossing the stars from Ballon Messages and ink blended with Coffee Loves Milk ink, I did some ink splashing with first coffee loves milk ink, allowing it to dry, then a white acrylic paint. IMG_20160705_232110 Next I worked out my layout, stamped my images in Archival jet black ink and used watercolour (distress inks) to colour in. Adding a ton of sparkling Spectrum Noir shimmer pen in crystal clear to the balloon and Claire's bow and skirt. IMG_20160705_232210 After stamping my sentiment to look like a continuation of the track that Claire is standing on, I added in my favorite mix of sequins and beads. Hi everyone! It’s Torico here again with another card I made using the Willy & Friends stamp set. WFC160530-1 Last time I made a pile of bananas. This time I stacked up pineapples using the masking technique. Claire wants to add one more pineapple to show her gratitude and Willy helps her. Cute? ☺ WFC160530-2 For my background I chose some patterned paper that match well with the pineapple theme. This is my last post as a guest designer for Waffle Flower. I’d like to say a big Thank You to Nina for giving me this great opportunity! I hope you all enjoyed my cards I shared this past few months. Happy crafting!
Thank you for sharing your talent with us, Torico!

[Guest] Don’t Steal My Bananas! - Torico

Hi everyone! It’s Torico here. Today I’m sharing a fun slider card I made using the Willy & Friends stamp set. WFC160519-1 When you pull out the slider strip… WFC160519-5 WFC160519-6 OMG! Willy has stolen Claire’s bananas!! :) To create this card, I blended light pink, yellow, and light green inks on a white panel, then spritzed it with water. After it completely dried, I cut out a slider track with a craft knife and made a notch on the top edge of the panel using a small circle punch. Then I adhered the panel to a card base with foam tape. I cut a slider strip from a piece of inked card stock and drew a string on it with a black gel pen. WFC160519-3 All the images were colored with Copics. I did a lot of masking to create a pile of bananas! The sentiment, which is from the On My Mark stamp set, was white embossed on a dark brown panel. After I adhered the sentiment panel and the images (except a bunch of bananas) to the inked panel, I inserted the slider strip and adhered the bananas image to it with foam tape. Several sequins were added to finish off the card. Thank you for looking!

Hello everyone! Anna here with two more cards for Waffle Flower!

Celebrate Card

Celebrate Card For this card, I die cut Celebrate Word Die from white cardstock a few times and stacked the layers to make a dimensional element. I masked the top half of the card base and blended two ink colors on the bottom half. I then diecut Celebrate word out from the inked paper and added the stacked word element behind to create the "chipboard" look. Butterflies are from Welcome Spring stamp set. Celebrate Card Side

Dance Card

Monkey Dance Card This card is a favorite of mine. I was blown away by Willy & Friends stamp set! I can think of so many fun "stories" for these cute monkeys! Monkey Dance Card closeup For this card, I was inspired by the sentiment from this set - "Dance like no one's watching". On the front panel, I masked Willy and stamped Claire on top to make them look like that they are sitting close to each other, watching Faye dance. Monkey Dance Card Side I stamped the hill (from Welcome Spring stamp set) and then stamped, colored and cutout Faye to adhere to card using some foam tape. The rosy cheeks stamps are from Willy & Friends. -Anna Thank you so much for sharing with us today, Anna! We love the clean & graphic look on the celebrate card and love, love the story you are telling with your second card!   Find time to create and make something today!
