[Technique] Gradation Backgrounds by Layering Stamps with Channin
Hello everyone!! It’s Channin here with another technique to share with you today!! This week I’m playing around with creating gradation backgrounds by layering non-background stamps. I’m not really sure why but I just love to stamp backgrounds!! I think it’s simply because I just love to stamp. Which is a good thing because for today’s card I did a lot of stamping. First, I picked my stamp. For this technique, I generally favor non-background stamps with more surface area. So basically, stamps that are more solid, less linear. For example, I made a card for August’s challenge using this technique and I...

I started this card with a piece of 4.25x5.5 piece of Canson 140 lb Cold Press watercolor paper to create a watercolor background. Rock & Roll Stamping with Channin
Hello everyone! It’s Channin here with a very colorful project to share with you today using the rock & roll stamping technique!! I love the rock & roll technique, it’s most definitely an oldie but it is still a goodie. If you are not familiar with it, the general idea is to ink up your stamp in a light ink then roll the edges of the inked image in a darker ink, while being careful not to get the darker ink in the center of the image. I often use this technique for flowers, leaves, and sentiments to add a little more...

Hello, everyone! From now on, Channin will be on the blog every Tuesday, sharing her clever creations with us! Take it away, Channin! Hello everyone! It’s Channin here to share with you a fun card I made for Halloween! I just love Halloween and I just adore Waffle Flower Crafts’ new Trick or Treat stamp and die set and of course I couldn’t resist making another card with them! This time I played around with the ghost images to create a little scene where it appears the little boy ghost has been a tad naughty and, to his sister’s shock and dismay, has eaten all of...
Jumbo Letter Fun by Katie Gehring
Hello friends, Katie here. I’ve been having so much fun with Waffle Flower Crafts new Jumbo Alphabet Letter dies, and I have a couple cards to share with you today using the Jumbo Letter A-Z set and the Balloon Messages die. My first card uses the Jumbo Letter Dies as rounded letter balloons. I die cut the letters from vellum and adhered them to a panel of white card stock. I die cut and adhered the balloon string to each letter to complete the balloon look. Cutting the letters from vellum helps reinforce the balloon look. The trick with vellum is...
